Hello potential customer, I am very sorry that you feel that we played games with you and that you thought we were trying to sell you a used car as new. Here at Star Cadillac we have a program that we offer our service customers the ability to drive new cars when their car is in for service. The program does get assistance from Cadillac as a manufacturer, but not until the car has accumulated 4 months of service and 2000 miles. The car you were interested in purchasing is currently in service, but not long enough to receive assistance from Cadillac, therefore has some miles on it. I find it unfortunate we were not able to make a deal, and that this program was obviously not properly explained to you. Also, to be considered a used car the vehicle must have been titled, which would have made it unable to lease which you wanted to do. If we were a deceiving dealership I would have brought you down without telling you about the miles. Again, I regret that you feel as if we were dishonest with you. Hello Tom, I don't understand. What you told me is different from what I was told when I spoke with your salesperson. I was told the car was driven by the dealer, not that it was a service vehicle. With regard to the below, it was actually mentioned to me at the very end of the price negotiations, so I don't understand how you're justifying hiding that info up-until the very end. "If we were a deceiving dealership I would have brought you down without telling you about the miles." Just because the car was not titled doesn't mean it's brand new. That's silly semantics, but objectively you would never say that something that's obviously used is new. If you went to Best Buy to look at a television that was hanging on the wall and someone tried to sell it as "new" would you accept that as "new?" I'm deeply surprised that a person in your position would defend these actions instead of trying to understand the position of a now lost customer.
