Thank you for taking the time to report on my people regarding your recent visit to our service department. As a means of resolving the issues you brought to my attention I’d like to apologize for the misunderstanding. We do have a 7-10 working day appointment lead. However in emergency situations we can and do take care of our customers with these type concerns. We had three instances of this last week and were able to diagnose the check engine light within a couple hours and schedule the repairs. Your concern never reached me last week, otherwise we could have at least made a determination on what was wrong with your Subaru. Granted 9 times out of 10 these check engine lights are minor and tied to emissions events. That being said it’s still a good idea to get it diagnosed quickly. Anytime you feel you are not cared for properly in my service department please ask the employee you are interacting with to make contact with me and I will set things right. We are sorry that you felt as if you were misled during your visit to the dealership. That was never our intention. The vehicle that you were interested in was the BRZ, a limited edition Subaru model. Each dealer will only receive a few of them throughout the year, and most other Subaru dealerships are adding $5000 or $6000 to the MSRP price because the demand for the vehicle has been so high. We are unable to list the market adjustment on the website because we receive all the vehicle information online directly from Subaru with the MSRP listed. We would have been willing to negotiate with you on the price, had you inquired further while you were in the store. Again, we are sorry that you felt that you had a bad experience at Lee Subaru, but the fact is that when a manufacturer makes a limited edition vehicle, it is not at all uncommon for the market demand to drive the price of the vehicle higher than their suggested retail price. Please let us know if there is anything else that we can do to assist you.
