I took my Highlander in because it was shimming at 75 mph. I asked for a tire balance, but they said it needed an alignment. Took my Toyota for schedule maintenance service. Customer Services check in was great. I told the Service Rep that I would be waiting in the lounge. Coffee was great, viewing messages on my phone. After a Services check in was great. I told the Service Rep that I would be waiting in the lounge. Coffee was great, viewing messages on my phone. After a while, this kind women next to me asked if I had checked on my car status. She mentions she just called to see when her car would be ready. They told her it was completed a while ago. She was there before I was, so I checked my text messages, I had received a text 1 1/2 hr. earlier stating it was completed. I wasn't told to check messages to see when my car was competed, or I would have. In my other experience's the costumer rep came to me when car was ready. During my time in the lounge, I saw several other Customer Service Rep come to get their clients when their car was ready. My Customer Service did not come to get me. He knew I was waiting as I told him earlier at check in. I went to the service desk; he was busy talking to other team members. Took a few moments for him to realize I was there. He explains the service record to me and handed my keys. I didn't push the issue. I was just happy that I could go about my day. Meanwhile the other lady was giving her Customer Services a few choice words. He apologizes said it was his mistake that he didn't check his records when the car was completed to come get her. My scheduled service was to take 1 hr. 20 minutes or less. I spent 2 1/2 hours waiting. I would have waited longer if this kind lady didn't tell me her situation. Please educate your Customer Service Rep when service is completed to contact / speak to the customer in a certain amount of time, regardless of sending a text. I would expect this would be in their job description for good costumer relations. It would make a big difference in your Customer Service Rating. More
I took my new 2021 Highlander in for the first service. When dropping off the car, I confirmed my cell phone number as the best number to reach me. I also informed the service tech that I would be in the waiting room on site. I was given 1 hour 15 minutes as the estimated time frame. After more than 2 1/2 hours, I went to check on my car. The service dude told me that he had been trying to call me and text me ON MY HOUSE PHONE! When I got home I checked my house phone and there were no calls received. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of Customer Service. More
