I was disappointed in the service today from Toyota. Is very unusual but it took four and a half hours to do an oil change, rotate the tires, and change two filters. It was very frustrating and disappointing dealing with the dealer for the first time. Bait and switch, they sold me a Rims and Wheels warranty policy that doesn’t cover my Rims. The maintenance and finance manager didn’t do anything. The finance manager told me that “we can’t do anything about it and it’s out of our control,” so he can’t stop his agents from keeping doing bait and switch. I will never go back even for my next maintenance. Katy Toyota will get my business. More
I brought the vehicle in because the last time I brought it there for an oil change, the tech over torqued the filter housing. When I attempted to do an oil change myself, I could not loosen the filter hou it there for an oil change, the tech over torqued the filter housing. When I attempted to do an oil change myself, I could not loosen the filter housing. I broke 2 wrenches and eventually the housing ended up breaking because it was so tight. I would I thought the dealer would have given some sort of discount for the work but all I was given $100 the NEXT time I visit. Which was only mentioned when I asked why I had to pay full price. Side note, service advisor can zero updates unless I called in first. The oil change ended up taking them 2 days. Normally it takes them 1 full day. More
