If I could give this dealership a negative rating, I absolutely would. If you enjoy a dealership with more stories than Walt Disney, then Stream Auto Outlet in Amityville is the perfect place to get absolutely would. If you enjoy a dealership with more stories than Walt Disney, then Stream Auto Outlet in Amityville is the perfect place to get scammed. This place is loaded with shady fees—including a mysterious $4,000 charge they kept changing the story about, and a $2,000 “reconditioning fee” that was a complete joke. The vehicles were greasy, the oil hadn’t been changed, and the cars weren’t even properly cleaned. Beware of “accidental price mistakes”. I personally saw their computer screens showing different prices than what was listed online. Sales reps like Alfredo, and assistant manager Favian, threw around made-up numbers and gave inconsistent explanations. Yes, it’s a used car lot—but even for that, their inventory is low quality and wildly overpriced. I looked at three cars: • A 2014 Toyota Avalon, which wasn’t even on the lot. After waiting 45 minutes for them to bring it from “down the road,” it arrived smoking from under the engine and showed significant exterior wear and tear. • A 2018 Honda Civic with obvious exterior damage and no proper alignment—it literally pulled to the side of the road during the test drive. That “reconditioning fee”? Complete nonsense. • A 2022 Honda CR-V originally listed at $24,500. Had they been honest, I might’ve made a deal—but somehow, that price ballooned to $38,000. When I called them out and questioned the pricing (especially after they began comparing it to new car prices), they scrambled in Favian’s office and suddenly brought it “down” to $32,000 out the door. Who are they trying to fool? Bottom line: avoid this dealership unless you’re in the market to be ripped off. Overpriced, low-quality vehicles, dishonest pricing, and unprofessional sales tactics. This place is a scam. More

Truly lousy experience with Stream Auto in Amityville, BUYER BEWARE working with this place. Went on Kelly Blue Book to get current value of my car who then send that info to a # of dealerships who may w BUYER BEWARE working with this place. Went on Kelly Blue Book to get current value of my car who then send that info to a # of dealerships who may want to buy your car. Stream Auto Body contacted me relentlessy. Told them my new car had not yet arrived, they still requested I come in to get an offer. They offered 25% less than book value which is fine, I know they need to be able to turn it over for a profit on their end. Ray at the dealership, went through the car, test drove it and also checked comps online and on Facebook Marketplace, and saw plenty of room for profit. We settled on an agreed upon price of 2,000, which was about 50% less than cheapest comp on Marketplace. I let him know I was still waiting on the new car to come in and would be back in touch when it arrived to complete the sale. Maria from Stream (who was professional and quite nice in all the interactions I had with her) followed up every few days. Two weeks or so later, the new car arrived and I brought my car back to them, with 100 miles more on it to complete the deal. Dealt with another employee who had multiple people go over the car, test drive it etc and an hour later told me the market had changed and the offer was now 1,100. He was correct on one point, the market had changed and the new KBB offer was actually more than in December - it just hadn't changed in the direction he indicated but I was also able to see that on his computer screen. We had an agreed upon deal, he wouldn't honor it and instead hit me with an insulting offer. I since have gone online and saw plenty of Stream Auto reviews just like my experience. If you want to do business with them it's your call, just note you've been warned on the business practices I encountered. It was a waste of two hours of my life. And for what it's worth, I'm not a negative review guy but did think others may benefit from what I experienced before they walk in the door here. More
