We were told that as part of the sale we would receive free oil changes. We split out time between R.I. And Florida so I was not sure how that service promise would be received. The service people were great. There was never any question as to the service and I requested that they use Mobil 1 and again there was no questions asked. When we went to pick up the car I asked if they were able to reset the maintenance minder and the service advisor looked up the procedure and took it to the tech and they reset it. On a Mercedes it is not the easiest of tasks, but they did it with no problems. Before we actually picked up the car we went into the sales to say hello to Francis our salesman and were literally greeted with open arms. Had a good chat with him then we went on our way. All I can say is if you are looking for a car either new our used give Mastro Subaru a chance. You might not buy from them, however you will see how a dealership treats their customers. It will be difficult to match their approach. More

However, I'm awarding them two stars for the following reasons listed in order of increasing significance 1. At the end of a two-hour service appointment, they offered a complimentary car wash. They said it would be 15 minutes. I agreed. 40 minutes later, I'm trying to get the keys to my car. I would've declined if I had known it would have taken so long. Not a big deal. 2. I purchased a tire from them. They said it would take 2-3 days for the tire to arrive. It took 6. A slightly bigger deal. 3. After having my tire replaced, I picked up my Subaru from the dealership. I immediately noticed that my car was pulling to the right - which it was not doing prior to bringing in my car. I called them to let them know. They said they would take care of it, but it would take over an hour to fix it. As such, it made sense for me to wait a month for my 12,000 mile checkup in order to have all of the work done at the same time. However, they did not put any of this in their notes. So by the time I was having my alignment fixed during this 12,000 mile checkup, they forgot entirely about what had happened the previous month. They tried taking away the one alignment repair covered under my insurance. When I protested and reminded them about past events, a higher-up at Mastro came out and effectively tried to guilt trip me about my actions. He said that by not using this alignment repair covered by my insurance, I would be depriving his mechanic of being paid. I kept my mouth shut, and he eventually acquiesced and took care of my alignment for free (which they had agreed to originally the month prior). One of the few truly terrible customer service experiences I've had in my life. This is my first review I've written about anything. I will never go to Mastro Sanford again. More

Over 4 years ago, I followed Kelly from another Subaru dealership to Mastro and bought my Legacy new October 2010. I love the car and regular maintenance has paid off - no problems with the car ever. Kelly, Jay and Matt are honest and take good care of the customers. More

When I bought my Forrester, the sales person really bragged on the service team and emphasized there would be a "relationship" with them. I really didn't know what that meant until I started bringing my vehicle in for routine service. Jay is always very kind, professional and accommodating. He is knowledgeable of the vehicles and can always give an informed answer to my questions. After my warranty expired, it was very tempting to seek service elsewhere as I have always done. There's really no reason for me to go anywhere else. A price cannot be placed on peace of mind. Thank you Jay for always going above and beyond my expectation. Renee More
very unhappy with service department I bought a wrx new and was given free oil changes from Subaru for 2 years. After the first 3 months I had only 2100 miles went in and was told no. 3 more months now at 3800 miles. Was told not yet but insisted on it and after nearly 40 mins got a oil change. Now it has been almost 2 years I have 11k on it and they absolutely refuse to do saying twice a year. No less than 7500 miles. Even though the paper I received from Subaru says 3750 miles or 3 months. But yet I receive calls saying it's due for service, this dealership is a joke. Not only do they refuse to service the car. The one oil change I got took over 2 hours to complete.. I drove 40 mins to get there for my appointment and still took 2 hours. And when I asked about it they said the techs were busy, I walk out and see the "techs" playing on there phones smoking cigarettes while my car is sitting there . More
I have had a lot of service issues with this dealership the most recent being there telling me I needed to replace my a/c blower motor and resistor because they were " JUST WORN OUT FROM AGE"- THE PRICE $5 the most recent being there telling me I needed to replace my a/c blower motor and resistor because they were " JUST WORN OUT FROM AGE"- THE PRICE $599.95 and to make things worse they finally showed some concern for the water in the brake lights ( had this issue for over a year) but now I had to replace the lights for $499.00- amazing, and the light bulb was blown. They had my vehicle for over and hour and a half to replace an O2 sensor that failed the day after I got an oil change and that cost $189.95- they threw in the labor-hmmmmm- Don't believe they ever checked out why the a/c wasn't working when they had it in the bay- Took my car to a garage in Deland that my daughter uses where they found a blown cigarette fuse and subsequently, a drinking straw that stuck out into the motor from the glove box proved to be the only issues- duh!!!!!!!!!!! total cost $1.00 for fuse- a/c is better than ever very unsure about the work that I have had done here due to too many problems- More
After receiving an almost $3000 estimate for repairs (head gaskets) from another Subaru dealership, I went to Mastro for a second opinion. I'm glad I did! Jay, in the service dept, took the time to hav (head gaskets) from another Subaru dealership, I went to Mastro for a second opinion. I'm glad I did! Jay, in the service dept, took the time to have my Forester's engine thoroughly inspected. Between the mechanic and Jay, they took the time to show me and explained to me that the repairs we not needed at this time and might never need them. This inspection was FREE at Mastro while the other dealership charged me $50! They saved me from spending almost $3000 unnecessarily! I also was very pleased with Josh in the parts dept. I needed a part for my wiper transmission. After calling 4 other Subaru dealerships from Daytona to Orlando with no luck, I called Mastro. Within minutes, Josh identified the part and ordered it for me. The other 4 could not figure out what part I needed and one wanted me to bring my old part in so they could see what I was asking for. That's not a good response when all you sell are Subaru parts. I live 45 minutes from Mastro and will return to them as long as I own a Subaru even though there are 2 other Subaru dealerships a lot closer! More

Maestro provided absolutely the best Subaru dealer service department experience I have enjoyed since purchasing my 2000 Forester 10 years ago. With the exception of oil change and tire replacement, service department experience I have enjoyed since purchasing my 2000 Forester 10 years ago. With the exception of oil change and tire replacement, the car has always been Subaru dealer maintined. Jay patiently showed and explained to me the condition of the brakes and required brake repair work. Maintained the repair quote even though additional parts were required. Reconnected the cruise control function which the mechanic at another Subaru dealer here in FL had neglected to do when the rear axle and struts were replaced. Car was originally purchased at another Suburu dealer in NJ not far from Subaru's US headquarters. First dealer in my experience to offer a FREE current model year Legacy loaner vehicle while waiting for parts to arrive. Yes, I will recommend this servce department to a couple of Honda owners I know who are not happy with their local dealership's service dept. Yes, I will definitely come back for additional service as required and a replacement vehicle when the car body has told me "Its time". THANK YOU!!! More
