When my wife started looking for a manual Crosstrek, we knew they would be hard to find especially in the color she wanted: orange or blue. After searching for several days, we found an orange one in Pittsburgh area, Subaru of South Hills, which was 3 hours from home. While talking to Joe in sales, we discussed the vehicle we had to trade, sent pictures, mileage and vin number and they gave us the amount they would give us right over the phone. We decided to drive there on Saturday morning. Upon arriving at the dealership, Joe greeted us outside at the Crosstrek and was extremely friendly and very respectful of our time. Due to COVID-19, they aren’t currently allowed to go on test drives with potential customers so they let my family of 4 take the car, by ourselves, for a 20 minute get-to-know-the-car, test drive. Sitting down with my wife and 2 kids with Joe at his desk, it seemed as though I was buying a car from a close friend. We laughed, told stories, joked around and even exchanged phone numbers so we can keep in contact. Joe was super legit!! Once we were done with Joe, we went into Tyler’s office to sign the financial side of things. Tyler was the same way. Very polite, respectful, great with the kids and respected our time. Again, super legit!! After signing all the papers, they handed us the keys, we got in the 2013 Crosstrek, said goodbye to our trade vehicle and pulled out. About 30 minutes into our ride home, Joe contacted us and let us know what a pleasure it was working with us and he wishes us the best with the car and our personal lives. I have never ever had a better car buying experience in my life. Absolutely no pushing or typical sales person characteristics whatsoever. Joe and Tyler are fantastic at what they do and we wish them the absolute best with their careers. Thank you, Subaru of South Hills, for helping my wife get her dream car! We will be back!!! More

The transactions were each very smooth without sales pitch and pushiness. Alex is knowledgeable and also respected our criteria for financing. Overall this was easy and comfortable rather than aggressive and forceful like many other places. We will definitely return to this dealership. More

GM WANTS HIGHER PROFITS SO FORGET THE PROMISED DISCOUNT We leased a 2020 Forester at Subaru of South Hills. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!! We were at the dealers for 4 1/2 hours to lease a car??? Tom, our salesman s We leased a 2020 Forester at Subaru of South Hills. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!! We were at the dealers for 4 1/2 hours to lease a car??? Tom, our salesman seemed very nice and found us the car we wanted. We had told him that Budd Baer was giving a $1400 discount for Subaru returning customers. Tom said, "I give better discounts than that". We believed him at his word. The next thing we saw were papers with payment amounts on them ( no final price). We picked a price and assumed that he would go over the final price of the car. The next 3 hours were Tom disappearing without even telling us where he was going. We were his only customers so what was he doing? In hindsight we believe he was avoiding us because he did not want to tell us what our deal was. I am a diabetic and I need to eat on a regular schedule. He gave me a candy bar and then disappeared again with no communications why! We were about ready to walk out when we were told we could go sign the papers. We have bought or leased at least 30 brand new cars in our lifetime and every time the financial people went line by line over the contract. NOT THIS DEALER!!!!!! He has an E signature and we never went over the final price of the car at all. Two days later we realized we got only $634 off the full price of the car. Evidently, TOM LIED and did not want to tell us. The general manager called us today. A very arrogant man who kept saying multiple times that he had a right to make a profit because of Covid. So he made a higher profit at our expense by having Tom lie to us about getting a higher discount, not explaining line by line what the contract said, blaming Covid for us not getting a discount and plain and simple wearing us down. Mr general manager got his profit but forever lost a client. We did not create Covid but we sure paid for it. More
