Wanted to add, that by no fault of their own, the parts Dept, while staffed with friendly and polite professionals, is hindered by Subaru of America's outrageously high prices and lack of support for aging models from the early to mid 2000's. And they are strictly forbidden by corporate to discuss part #'s of anything, even if they can't get you the part you need, which is frustrating as a customer, who has a ghost gripe in an older car and trying to find out why the aftermarket parts keep failing. So they want you to pay $700 for an alternator, thay they can't even get, but aren't allowed to give me the part # of the factory part or of the regulator inside of it, for me to have a rebuild shop screen against what they can order to verify proper components to get me a rebuild. And they can't get me the CV shafts for the car either. Again a Big Subaru problem, not the dealership specifically.
