Sunny King Honda

Wants to haggle price too much. The salesman was a nice guy,Randall, but I guess his sales manager must not be,didn't meet him. Had the vehicle I wanted but was a little more than I wanted to pay. Called them and told them it was a little more than I wanted to pay and was told that me being there in person was a good negotiating tool. So I drove an hr to see what price they could come up with. I told the salesman up front that I didn't have time to haggle to get me his best price the first time. After salesman went to his manager he came back with the price I told him I wasn't going to pay except now they had added about $1200 to it (taxes doc fees etc). I nicely shook the salesman hand and said thank you for your time and started leaving. I ended up leaving and the salesman was very nice and wanted to talk some more but like I said from the start, I wasn't there to haggle prices. The next day my wife made an online offer and they accepted it. She offered them $2000 less than they wanted me to pay the day before. Different salesman could be the reason, I'm not sure. We ended up buying the vehicle and was pleased with the staff that helped with the purchase. There was two open recalls on the vehicle and they wouldn't fix those before we bought it so now I have to go through the hassle of getting that done, even though it had a 150 point inspection they didn't get the recall issues resolved. I doubt I ever go back to purchase a vehicle from them just cause they aren't very anxious to make a very happy customer. I was quite surprised that they filled the tank though, I thought dealerships stopped doing that. Like I said they were nice people but didn't really go above and beyond to earn my business, even though the wife just went ahead and made the purchase. She really likes the vehicle they had and there wasn't another one like it anywhere that we could find at the time. More
