I dropped off my 2020 Tiguan at 9:15am to the service department because the dashboard was lighting up with warning lights of various kinds. I picked it up a little after 5pm. It was covered under warran department because the dashboard was lighting up with warning lights of various kinds. I picked it up a little after 5pm. My daughter recently took her Ford Escape in for an oil change and tire rotation. The service manager reached out and stated the vehicle needed the brake fluid flushed and the coolant system flushed. The brake fluid had been flushed less than 3,500 miles prior to this visit, so this was concerning. After picking the vehicle up, the service light came on approximately 10 miles from the dealership. I called the service manager and he said it would cost $200 to diagnose the problem. I questioned this cost since the light was not on when the vehicle was dropped off. He graciously agreed to identify the code for free. After hanging up, the service manager called back and said the light was on when they received the vehicle. It was not. In fact, when the vehicle was brought back in and the code read, it was determined the airbox had not been properly secured. The service manager was still unwilling to admit their fault even after their own technician found and corrected the problem. This is not a service department I would recommend using. More
