I was disappointed by how aggressively the service department tried to upsell unnecessary maintenance. My Subaru has very low mileage for its age, but I was given a list of services totaling over $4,0 department tried to upsell unnecessary maintenance. My Subaru has very low mileage for its age, but I was given a list of services totaling over $4,000 - most of which were far beyond what the manufacturer recommends. I rely on my car for basic needs like getting to work and medical appointments, and it doesn’t feel right to pressure customers into expensive “recommended” items that aren’t actually due. I appreciate honest maintenance advice, not scare tactics. More
