Extreme Lack of Transparency in Finance Dept - $7,000 discrepancy! Do Verify Every Number!!! I recently purchased a 2026 Corolla Hybrid from Swickard Toyota 101, and while the sales team was fine, my discrepancy! Do Verify Every Number!!! I recently purchased a 2026 Corolla Hybrid from Swickard Toyota 101, and while the sales team was fine, my experience with the Finance Department was deeply concerning. 1. Unauthorized Inflation of Contract: The agreed-upon "Amount Financed" (after my down payment) was approximately $23,578. However, the Finance Manager who handled my case did not provide a copy of the Retail Installment Sale Contract during the signing process. When I finally received the document via email the next day, the amount had been inflated to $30,629. This included over $7,000 in warranties and add-ons that I never requested or authorized. 2. Misleading Communication: When I confronted the Finance Manager about this $7,000 discrepancy, he sent me an email claiming that "the money goes to the bank, not to you" and insisted that I did not need to sign a new contract. As a consumer, I found this statement to be highly misleading and an attempt to prevent me from correcting an inaccurate contract. 3. The "Digital Signature" Issue: When I escalated the matter to the Managerment, I was shown a digital signature page with the inflated numbers. I am 100% certain that this specific page, with these specific dollar amounts, was never disclosed, shown, or explained to me during the electronic signing process. 4. Resolution only after Legal Mention: The management initially claimed the loan was already funded and could not be canceled. However, once I informed them that I would be consulting with my lawyer and accountant, their position changed instantly. They suddenly admitted the loan had not been processed and allowed me to void the contract and pay the agreed-upon price in cash. Final Advice: If you do not have choices of other dealership, but have to buy a car with swickard 101, DO NOT leave the building without a physical, printed copy of your signed contract. Verify the "Amount Financed" line by line. Proceed with extreme caution!!! More

Having come from a car-dealer father who got out of the business, I recognize that personality. He ended up budging by $250 but that was it. Since I have been looking for a car for a long time, I agreed. I am happy with the car, but wouldn't say the dealership stands out in any significant way; it's like all the others. More
when I first called RWC Toyota and spoke with Frankie Magaña , they did not have my car in stock. I wanted a specific color and interior that was a custom made order., none if the deslerships in bay are Magaña , they did not have my car in stock. But Frankie promised he would do his best and get the car to his dealership, and give me a better deal on the OTD pricing. In less than 2 weeks Frankie got the car and gave us a great deal, the best in bay area!! We are are very Hapoy with our new car thanks to Frankie !! Thank you Redwood City Toyota !
