I recently purchased a 2020 Honda Pilot from Swickard Audi of Anchorage, and while I’m happy to have finally found a vehicle for my family, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Brandon and T were the saving grace of the entire process—both were extremely helpful, communicative, and genuinely cared about our experience. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience fell short. We spent around 10+ hours over multiple days at the dealership due to delays, miscommunication, and an overall “hurry up and wait” atmosphere that felt more like a military operation than a car-buying experience. The sales manager refused to negotiate the price at all, which was frustrating considering we ended up leaving with winter tires still on the vehicle—despite being told “the tread was good.” The winter tires were studded too, but the studs were removed. Now we’re stuck paying around $1,000 for new all-season tires, after spending almost $29k, just to safely drive in the summer. To make matters worse, we waited all day for the car to be “detailed,” only to take it home with French fries under the seats, crumbs in the cracks, a dirty center console, and an untouched third row. For a dealership that prides itself on luxury brands, this felt careless and unprofessional. We ultimately purchased the vehicle out of exhaustion after looking at over 15 cars in a matter of weeks and just needing to move forward for our family’s sake. While there are great individuals working here, I would not recommend this dealership to friends or family based on our experience. The effort and attention to detail just weren’t there. My visit was OK and checking in was much quicker than previous visit. However, they did not take my paperwork that showed that I had a maintenance agreement because they said it was all in computer and w previous visit. So they didn’t change the filer for me for my 70 k mile check in. Otherwise Service and detailing was very good. More
