I recently had my F150 repaired at Tasca Ford, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed with the service I received. My service representative, George, kept me well-informed throughout the entire process, w say I was thoroughly impressed with the service I received. I purchased the truck on January 31st, at that time I ordered running boards and a Tanneau cover. The parts were going to be in sometime in the following week. There were a few things that had to be ta ordered running boards and a Tanneau cover. The parts were going to be in sometime in the following week. There were a few things that had to be taken care of so I said keep the truck to get everything taken care of all at the same time. What had to be done was: 1) Small windshield crack 2) A bad odor (smelled like mothballs) 3) Touchup front bumper 4) 2nd key (truck only had one) 5) Battery (When I picked up the truck, I couldn’t drive it because of the bad smell. so, when I tried to start it after sitting for a week it didn’t want to turn over) Service put a trickle charge on it and said it was fine. When I dropped the truck off to get the running boards and Tanneau cover done I was informed that the cover was delayed, no problem that happens. So they installed the running boards and attempted to take care of the SMELL but whatever cleaner they used was stronger than the “mothball smell”. So finally, after having the truck back to the dealer several times and 7 weeks later I picked up the truck. I was told that the Battery was replaced but when I got home and checked, it wasn’t. Supposedly a miscommunication between Sales and Service. I was told that because service couldn’t get rid of the smell that I was going to be given the name of a local detailer. I haven’t heard back from anybody yet. It probably needs an Ozone treatment of some kind. I think that the problem was I paid cash for the truck so there was no rush to get things taken care of. Before I retired I was VP of operations for Mclaughlin & Moran in Cranston. We purchased many cars, Explorers, work vans from Tasca in Cranston and never had a problem. So, when I was looking to purchase a vehicle I didn’t hesitate to go to my local Tasca dealer. Overall, not a good experience. It should not have taken 7 weeks to get these small things taken care of. Thanks More
People, there are always great. Charlie is super friendly. My only complaint from the last visit was that I had my wipers replaced and when I drove off that rainy day. When I Charlie is super friendly. My only complaint from the last visit was that I had my wipers replaced and when I drove off that rainy day. When I turned on my wiper blades, I found they had forgotten to remove the plastic protector that the wiper comes with. Not a big deal.. your team there is excellent. I dropped my car off at 7 am for a 7 am appointment to have an oil change. My thought process was if i'm the first person of the day, I would get out quickly. My car was done at 8:45 am. It took almost two hours for an oil change. More
