Tate Dodge Chrysler Ram Jeep was a total customer gouger. I got my normal oil change and told them I also wanted a fuel filter. So a 102.00 fuel filter cost me 395.00 in labor. We actually stopped at a diesel mechanic’s shop who literally laughed themselves silly and said “Hey the next time you want someone to rip you off please bring your jeep to me”. This is not the first time we’ve experienced issues with their service department. They are rude, sarcastic and they act like they are doing you a favor by serving your car. Customer Service skills definitely are nonexistent at this dealership. By the way with my oil change they didn’t even rotate my tires. More

I had the worst experience dealing with the sales manager in the service department they had heard a noise and told me it was the actuator and after they fixed it the noise was still there I brought it back in the service department they had heard a noise and told me it was the actuator and after they fixed it the noise was still there I brought it back to see if they could fix it and they could not and they told me that it needed to sit in the shop for 2 days so after a day and a half I said is the car ready and they said they did not even start looking at it I had to rent a car for 2 days and I had a warranty company that would have paid but they refuse to do it every single time I come in there it's like I am pulling teeth to get anything accomplished I'm a very reasonable person and I always respect them but today was the most unbelievable day they tried to ruin my warranty because they did not know what they were doing and said that it had something to do with my resonators off of my vehicle. I called the person that they recommended me to take it to not knowing that I am friends with the muffler shop and he told me that it had nothing to do with it that they were just trying to just get me out of there because they were incompetent mechanics or at least the one that was working on my vehicle and the sales manager was a complete jerk. I will never take my vehicle there again I would rather drive to another state. Just giving everybody the heads up. I have had friends that been there and told me neither bring my vehicle there but I figured it was close to my house and I tried nothing but bad things happen there I have a warranty and they always try to charge me shop fees when I went and talked to the dealer they told me that there should be no shop fees. Within two weeks of leasing the vehicle and under 500 miles, we contacted the dealership with serious concerns about accessibility and our ability to safely and reasonably use the vehicle due to documented health and mobility limitations. We contacted the General Manager multiple times by phone and email and never received any response. When we reached out to our sales representative during that initial period, we were told that we were “stuck in the vehicle for at least a year.” The only suggestion offered was to purchase aftermarket steps at our own expense, and it was made clear that no other resolution would be considered. Being told we were simply “stuck” was not only unhelpful, but dismissive given the nature of the concerns. Instead of any attempt to work with us, one sales manager stated, “You test drove it, so get over it,” which was completely unprofessional—especially when accessibility concerns were clearly being raised. Additionally, the vehicle was dirty inside at delivery and had to be cleaned by the dealership. Even after that, it did not present as a brand-new vehicle. We also experienced poor communication regarding plates/registration, requiring us to chase information ourselves. This experience made it clear that once paperwork is signed, this dealership has little interest in customer safety, accessibility, or follow-through. I had to to bring my 2020 jeep gladiator in for service for a miss fire. I brought it in the morning of October 13th and asked to do a diagnostic on what is causing the misfire. I called on the afternoon of October 15th to get a status update and they stated that they needed to do an additional tear down on the engine because they could not determine the issue. I asked if this means sparks plugs and fuel injectors were checked and found to be no issue and they said yes. I asked if this means the issue may be caused by a more deeper issue and they agreed. On October 16th the dealership calls me to tell me they found the issue which was determined to be the spark plugs. While we had this conversation they asked if I wanted to do additional services since the engine was already apart and it was due since the engine was passed 100,000 miles. I agreed to this additional service but did not understand the need to do an additional tear down on the engine when the spark plugs were originally not the cause of the miss fire. My bill ended up being roughly 1500 dollars were 1100 was in labor and 600 of that was for the 2 tear downs. I wast not expecting the price to change spark plugs and minor service to be 1500 dollars. I took my 2018 van to tate dodge to have the oil filter housing replaced under warranty. I have done this job myself several times on other chrysler 3.6 engines for friends. It is a common issue for that engine and should be very straightforward. I considered doing it myself but decided since it was under warranty I would save some money and have Tate do it. I went to pick up my "completed" van. It was missing half the bolts holding the intake manifold down, the oil was 2 quarts low from them not refilling it after having the engine apart. It had several clips broken and the air intake was never tightened down. I will provide pictures of this. The van is also completely covered in several quarts of oil. I have no idea if the leak is still present right now because even after cleaning several times there is so much oil stuck down in the valleys under the intake. I brought this the the attention of the shop foreman and they took the van back in to fix it. It still isn't fixed. These pictures are of the van underneath after the 2nd attempt. I am told the mechanic that worked on my vehicle has been at tate for 30 years. There is absolutely no excuse for this type work. My van was in absolutely perfect condition except the oil filter housing when I took it in. It will never be the same now. Stay far away. If Tate responds to this review like others asking me to reach out to talk about my problems please know I have already tried with no support. More
