When I got home I noticed a few new nicks and scratches on my car that weren’t there before servicing. Vehicle, 2022 Odyssey with 350 miles, was brought in on a Saturday for a strange sound coming from front end that could only be heard while driving. I was called hours later and told they couldn't hear the sound and to pick up my car, and that I might have to pay a $75 diagnostic fee. When I said it was unacceptable that the car wasn't being diagnosed, I was told I could test drive it with a technician to hear it BUT they wouldn't be able to go out on the road with me because they were all unavailable and I'd need to wait until another day. When I arrived, it was apparent by the mileage, that the car was never test driven. I ended up test driving vehicle with technician on Monday morning, and he was able to hear the noise I heard, but he said he wasn't going to be able to spend more than a couple of hours on it since he was leaving early. When I called a few hours later for an update, I was told they couldn't tell where the sound was coming from. I was advised that I should drive the car more to break it in. I brought it to a different dealership two days later that was able to fix my car. They heard the noise on a test drive that ACTUALLY TOOK PLACE, and identified the cause of the noise. I will never visit Babylon Honda again. It is my intention to make anyone and everyone aware that Babylon Honda will lie, and never help you. More
I thought I was having a problem with my 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid and Fenix was excellent in describing how the battery and motor works in powering the car. Rarely have I encountered a business as eager to separate their customers from their wallets as Babylon Honda's Service Center. Unlike most other businesses that charge a diagnostic fee to gauge the need fo their customers from their wallets as Babylon Honda's Service Center. Unlike most other businesses that charge a diagnostic fee to gauge the need for service, (Babylon Honda's is currently $150 per issue), they don't waive those fees in the event that the customer elects to make the suggested repairs. This dismissive attitude toward their customers' financial interests also appears to extend to their communications with those they purport to serve. We dropped our vehicle off during the afternoon for a 8:15am appointment the following day, but were unable to obtain a diagnosis until nearly 5pm that day because our assigned Service Manager was off and no one else was authorized to speak to us on his behalf. For this reason, nothing could be done until the following day - when, after much debate, it was agreed that the "repair work" would be confined to turning off the automatic door switch in order to disable the sensor's alarm. The charge: $488 for three diagnoses and NYS Sales Tax. Had we elected to make the recommended repairs to our 17 year-old Odyssey's doors and evaporator canister assembly, we would have been charged more than $3,600 - arguably more than the vehicle is worth. This, despite the fact that one of the required parts was on backorder and its delivery date, uncertain. Suffice to say, this experience has not only tainted our opinion of Babylon's Honda's Service, but is causing us to rethink our relationship with its Sales department, where we have been loyal customers for several decades.
