Took Too Long I had a 10:30 appointment for an oil change and waited for the car. After two hours I finally asked the girl at the desk what the status was and why i I had a 10:30 appointment for an oil change and waited for the car. After two hours I finally asked the girl at the desk what the status was and why it was taking so long. She told me they had too many cars to get to and I asked if they take in walk ups and she said no. So why take reservations if you are not going to properly schedule and allocate time. At 12:45 they told me they were almost done but that I had a nail in my tire and they recommended a patch. I asked how long it would take since I was already there a lot longer than I had planned and I was told no more than 15-20 minutes. I didn't get my car and leave until almost 1:30. Three hours for an oil change and tire patch. Unacceptable! More

Babylon Honda was near my current location. Steve Ferchak,Service Advisor,was able to have my Honda serviced and Inspected in a satisfactory time period. He was very straightforward & understanding of the urgency of having the car serviced because of the expired sticker.Thanks,Steve. More

Misleading, rude and impossible to get in touch with When we first got there it took about 15 minutes before we were helped, (no one was at a desk and we were with 2 other families waiting) and then Donn When we first got there it took about 15 minutes before we were helped, (no one was at a desk and we were with 2 other families waiting) and then Donna gave us an attitude because we shouldn't have been allowed to drop the car off because they were closing soon (it was 5:30) After she finally realized I didn't want the car fixed THAT NIGHT, she was a bit nicer. We explained the primary reason for coming was likely our alternator, that the car wouldn't start or hold a charge after being jumped, but that we also had an issue with the sliding doors of the van and the front interior lights. She explained there was a $142 diagnostic fee that goes into it that is to protect them if we DON'T decide to get work done. So I asked if we do get work done, that goes towards the work correct and she said yes. When my tech called and gave me the 3 estimates, i was quoted around $900 for the alternator, around $600 for the doors, and about $300 for the lights. I told them please only do the doors, as I would go elsewhere for the alternator. He said okay. When he called to say the work was done, I tried to pay the bill over the phone and he quoted me well over $800. When I asked where the extra cost was coming in he said the diagnostic fee! SO i said no I got work done and that wasn't the amount you quoted me. My husband tried calling for two days and was only able to reach a voicemail, and never got a call back. So then I had to GO DOWN there to talk to a manager, and see the paperwork, and I waited for over an hour after work (remember they have my second car which is a van I have two kids I have to go pick up!) The manager tried to do everything through the over worked receptionist (Cassandra was very polite and nice through the whole thing she was just stuck in the middle.) At one point she told me they agreed to take off the charge they just had to rewrite the bill. After about 25 minutes I went up to ask her if the bill had been fixed and she called her manager who then told her they WEREN"T taking it off actually because I didn't get the alternator fixed. When I finally spoke to John McGuire (another 20 minutes later, I explained to him my issues and he told me there are actually fees for EACH thing and I said well that was NEVER made clear to me. He also inquired why I wasn't getting the alternator fixed there and when I said I could get it done cheaper elsewhere he said well they could get me a non Honda alternator cheaper too, and I said well that is another thing that was never explained to me. As of now the doors do work so we have that. Will not return. More
