Buyers beware. My salesman experience prior to vehicle purchase was great, very nice young man to work with. Since my purchase next day after driving the vehicle less than 25 miles had a check engine come on the dash. Have since found out after contacting salesman, going to parts stores, running diagnostics at the advice of salesman and the Tim Short Ford dealership found out that we have a particular filter issue which if anyone's aware of that issue it can cost you a lot of money. Was also told that I would be sent a payment for having that diagnostic ran and enough to buy an extra key for the truck, have yet to see any of that or to get any response whatsoever on what they might do about this ongoing issue. So I have been put out in left field. My advice to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle do not deal with this dealership they say that they pride themselves on their inspection before selling they're used vehicles and how many they sell to out-of-state buyers. He gave my wife and me the space we needed to make our own decision, which made all the difference. The General Manager, Charles Burchfield, was equally impressive—easygoing, upfront, and honest throughout the entire process. At no point did we feel pressured, “held hostage,” or worn down like we have at other dealerships that promise to save you “THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS.” Well we did save thousands and I know we got well below book value on price and Charlie took great care of us on our trade as we got a better price than any other dealer we spoke to or Carvana. My wife has serious PTSD from past car-buying experiences, so even getting her onto a dealer’s lot is a challenge. I promised her Marcus and Charlie were different—and thankfully, that proved to be true. Marcus assured us we would totally love our Navi and he was not wrong! I contacted Tim Short Ford through their website after hours and was immediately contacted the next morning. The vehicle I originally wanted was at a different location so I asked Stephen Howard to send m hours and was immediately contacted the next morning. The vehicle I originally wanted was at a different location so I asked Stephen Howard to send me the Mustangs he had on the lot. We were from out of town visiting family and wanted to trade the Durango we had for something comfortable and fun! I picked the one I was interested in and Stephen went to work for us. We did the majority of it between text messaging and a couple of short phone calls (didn’t want to take too much time from our family visit). Stephen did an amazing job and everything was pretty cut and dry! When we got to the dealership about an 45 minutes before closing, the car was already detailed and everything was ready for us! It was the best and most pleasant car buying experience that didn’t take all day sitting in a dealership negotiating and beating each other up. The finance guy (sorry but I can’t remember his name) was outstanding also! Very polite, went over everything and made the process easy! Thank y’all, we appreciate how smooth everything went and will see ya again when we are ready for another Ford! More
