I had generally been pleased with this dealership but the service department charged me $50 labor fee to install a cabin air filter in addition to the $32 for the filter. I gave permission to install the air filter without being advised of the exorbitant/ridiculous fee for a 90 second install..I will not make that mistake again More
I ve bought all my vehicles but one in my life from Tipton, and that one was a mistake. So I’ve never gone anywhere else. The service is great. I definitely recommend them to anyone. Repairs were covered by their in-house warranty with zero problems. These folks and John in service dept kept me informed and did everything they could to treat me like family. I highly recommend Tipton Ford. It's hard to.explain how accommodating they are. More
this dealership came highly recommended to me for work on my powerstroke . i was told they had a master mechanic for this engine. my experience was less than stellar I will say. without going into detail, my powerstroke . i was told they had a master mechanic for this engine. my experience was less than stellar I will say. without going into detail, I will say that the service manager made things better. I will be leary in the future. they couldnt diagnose issue. guessing on parts and trying to make $ for the mechanic, so I was tlold. More
I took my Ford Transit 350 in for repairs on December 10, 2024, because the transmission was making a noise when shifting from third to fourth gear. After speaking with the service advisor, John December 10, 2024, because the transmission was making a noise when shifting from third to fourth gear. After speaking with the service advisor, John McCollum, I was told the van needed a new torque converter, which I approved for repair. On January 17, I was informed the van was ready, but after driving it for less than 20 miles, I realized the original issue wasn't fixed. I took the van back, and after a few days, I was told it needed more parts and would cost an additional $3,000. After expressing my frustration, John said they would cover the labor costs, but I would need to pay for the parts. I agreed. A few more days later, I was told they found burned clutches and that there was a "code" after reassembling, so they had to consult with engineering. A few more days passed, and they finally said the van was ready. However, when I picked it up, they had replaced more parts than originally quoted, but I thought the issue was fixed. Unfortunately, I now have even more problems than before I took it in. The van makes a thumping noise when shifting from first to second gear, a loud noise when downshifting while going up a hill, and sometimes when stopped at a red light. I’ve paid nearly $5,000 to fix one issue, only to have three new ones. More
