Service center receipt stated no leak found. When I showed them the leak. I got the car back with the leak after 2 days being the shop. After a couple days the low oil light came on. I checked the oil and it was low. I discovered oil leaking under the car that also seeped behind the front passenger wheel. I scheduled an appointment at VW of Union NJ on 5/11/23. I stated the car was leaking oil and could possibly be from the 20k maintenance that was done. Long story short, the advisor stated the service center could not detect the leak and I could pick up the car end of day or have them keep it to check further for the oil leak. So I agreed to opt for having the service center keep the car until the leak was fixed. The following day, I didn’t receive a call from the advisor. So I called and spoke to a VW Rep. She stated the advisor was off and that the service center stated the car was ready for pick up. I did not check the VW Service Center receipt until I arrived home. As I read through the receipt I noticed the Service Center stated “Customer stated oil leak. No oil leak detected.” So I tried calling VW Union NJ for an explanation. No one picked up my calls. I’m highly disappointed that they would send the car back to me when clearly there was a visible leak. I find it odd that the advisor I spoke to the initial day I dropped off the car told me that the service center can figure out the oil leak. The car is under warranty so I don’t understand why would they not throughly check the vehicle? I’m taking this to higher ups. And definitely scoring this experience and survey low. I won’t let this slide. I’ve heard way too many complaints with this Service Center so this needs to be addressed. Do better VW Union NJ. More
Failed emissions test repair Several service visits. Union VW could not fix. Several trips back into DMV and back to Union VW. Last trip was sent a pic of a passed emissions test Several service visits. Union VW could not fix. Several trips back into DMV and back to Union VW. Last trip was sent a pic of a passed emissions test noting all is ok. Called VW of America for guidance . Lost faith in Union VW. Drove to Doulas VW in Summit NJ. They isolated the issue and fixed the issue same day. Also their test revealed a failed vs passed test . Called the Union VW service manager and left a message . Never received a call back. Very unprofessional. Called the service manager not to complain but to update so he is aware of the issue with his service team. Lack of caring just lost Union VW all future sales and service visits. Sad . I would expect more from VW. Hope the owners of Union VW read this review . Shame on you Union VW for terrible service and a team unable stand up to VW standards. . More

Unfortunately they didn’t do nothing in two almost three weeks except being charged 270$ For a test. And at the end. To Received an called Were I was told. That the car needs a new engine I mean a 10,000 $. Job I opt to town the car to a real mechanic. Whom in less than few day found out the problem. And have the car as new. No needs of engine remplace. And the total price of his job. Wasn’t no even. A 10 % More

Horrible guy who helped, very rude and racist Hey never approached me in regards to what would be happening with my car. He made me wait 4-5 plus hours and not once did he say hi or anything. Inconsistent service personnel I brought my car in for a new tire, regular maintenance, and a recall. The service personnel appears to be overworked. Lots of complaining. Additionally I received a call suggesting that I might have an additional charge as a result of a staff person being out because she was the only person that knew about a part I ordered. ( It appears that your records are not reliable.) Additionally, my car was not test driven after the maintenance was completed. As a result the low tire pressure light was still on. Lots of unrelated problems that suggest poor management. More

Also, my first oil change was complimentary and after my appt I realized the sticker said I had to be back in 3 months or 3k miles even though the dealer told me I would only need an oil change every 10k miles. Low and behold, when I went for my next oil change the sticker says I don’t have to be back for 10k miles and it cost over $100. Why not give the same oil change for the complimentary one? More
