Very good service delivered on time. I dropped my car at Union Volkswagen without an appointment. I was given a loaner car during the time my vehicle was in the shop for repair. The service was done promptly regardless of the need for a part that had to be ordered. Upon completion of the service, VW repair center called to pick up the car. Replace tire and rim Let me say at the outset that I did not leave the facility on Monday a happy customer. I spent an hour and thirty minutes there without getting what I came for. Yes, I had a key reprogrammed but I would have happily left with a non-functioning key if I did not need to return to the facility for a third time. I took the day off on Monday to have a tire and rim I ordered installed. When the box holding the rim was opened it was discovered that it was not the right rim. A couple things about that: why did it take an hour to tell me this and why wasn’t the box opened to check the merchandise when it arrived? I may have felt better about the whole experience if I had gotten the impression from my service consultant that she understood what a huge and unnecessary inconvenience this was. Instead I was told all the reasons that this couldn’t be avoided. Not what I was interested in hearing. Lastly, what makes this even more upsetting is that I had a similar situation happen with a rim and tire before. That time they could not locate the rim and I had to make another trip to the facility. Interestingly, I mentioned that incident when the part was ordered. Some of the staff remembered that had happened. Seems like a bigger effort would have been made to make sure that nothing like that happened again. I am happy to talk to management about my experience. More
