Within 18 hours and only about 150 miles of driving home, the truck developed a check engine light and engine misfire. Within eight days of purchasing the truck, I paid for two independent repair facilities to inspect it. Both found internal engine damage and recommended complete engine replacement. Their findings included cylinder wall damage, excessive oil in the intake due to blow-by, metal contamination in the oil, combustion gases in the cooling system, and other significant internal engine issues. Their estimates for replacement were approximately $11,500 and $12,500. We knew this truck had high miles, but we believed we were getting a vehicle that would last. When we test drove the truck, everything appeared normal. They didn’t offer an extended warranty, and because we trusted this dealership, we signed the paperwork acknowledging the vehicle was being sold as-is. I attempted to work directly with the dealership immediately after the findings, and was ignored until I filed formal complaints. During the BBB complaint process, the dealership’s argument remained that the truck was sold AS-IS. Rather than offering assistance or discussing the professional repair estimate I had obtained, they suggested I search online for a less expensive engine. I traded my dream car for a truck that I had my heart set on and seen a future for my family with and now I’m without a running vehicle. I understand that used vehicles can have unexpected problems. What I cannot understand is a truck suffering catastrophic engine failure almost immediately after purchase and receiving no meaningful assistance despite repeated attempts to resolve the matter. I encourage anyone considering buying from John, to take your business to someone who actually cares about their customers. And If you do choose to purchase a vehicle from Town Square Motors, I strongly encourage you to have it inspected by an independent mechanic before signing any paperwork because this business does not care. My husband called Town Motors to see if they could help at least pay something towards it. They said there was nothing they could do about it. If you look at the other 1 star reviews on here, you will see the same thing. Either the transmission went out or the motor went out. They knew something was wrong with it. They saw my son coming and said, Oh! Here’s a dummy we can use to get rid of this vehicle. This same thing happened to my husband a few years ago at the Mall of Georgia Honda, and guess what? They helped us. They helped us trade it in AND gave us a warranty on another used vehicle AND ate the difference. If you want to buy a used car, go to a real dealership. More

Great experience My old car need a new gasket and I had to find another car in a hurry. I told John the price range I could afford and style of car I wanted. He had My old car need a new gasket and I had to find another car in a hurry. I told John the price range I could afford and style of car I wanted. He had three cars for me to look at and at reasonable prices. I test drove all three and decided on one. He said I should have my mechanic check it out first. I took it to my mechanic and he went over it with a fine tooth comb. It needed some minor repairs and a couple of new tires but nothing major. I am extremely happy with the whole buying process. Misleading I flew from Florida to purchase the van. I needed honesty about the condition of the van. When I arrived, the van had the check engine light on. They I flew from Florida to purchase the van. I needed honesty about the condition of the van. When I arrived, the van had the check engine light on. They said it just came on the night before. That was not true. They admitted that later. After having a mechanic look at the issue. It was determined to be a $1500 repair. We did negotiate a price but it was far from covering the cost. They new they had me. I flew there with no way home. They also did not tell me the AC was not working. I thought I checked it. But, it was cold that morning so it was blowing cold. Once the vet got on the road heading home to FL I realized it was not working. That was an additional $600 repair. The left tire had a slow leak as well. At my first rest stop I realized it was low. I also made the mistake in not testing the horn until I needed it. Both horns were shot. $400 repair. Be very careful with these guys! More

I was told they "drive the cars" but most are not seen by any mechanic and it is "sorry" when you contact them about your problems. Oh, but they drip charisma and Southern charm. BEWARE!!! More
