I had an absolutely horrendous experience with Toyota of Fox Lake's service department, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal to protect others from a similar nightmare. I took my car in for service, a Fox Lake's service department, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal to protect others from a similar nightmare. I took my car in for service, and what followed was a never-ending saga of incompetence and indifference. They initially kept my car for two weeks without servicing it, and when I finally went to pick it up, it hadn't been touched. The service manager, Charlie Trebing, seemed clueless and promised to get it done. On my second visit, they informed me of "additional issues" and requested a third visit. At this point, my patience was wearing thin, and I attempted to lodge a complaint with Mr. Trebing, but he conveniently went silent. When I requested to speak with the general manager to address my concerns, they shockingly denied me access. Despite already taking my money, they demonstrated a complete lack of accountability and customer care. Toyota of Fox Lake, your service department is an utter disgrace, and your disregard for customers is appalling. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. Save yourself the trouble and find a more reputable dealership for your automotive needs. More

The TLDR: Don’t buy a vehicle from Toyota at Fox Lake. The issues I’ve experienced during my buying process with Toyota Fox Lake: - When i arrived to the dealership (had already scheduled an appointme The issues I’ve experienced during my buying process with Toyota Fox Lake: - When i arrived to the dealership (had already scheduled an appointment, let them know vehicles i wanted to look at) it took over 2hrs for them to show me 3 vehicles in which i only test drove one of them. Others were in disrepair and didn’t meet the requirements i told them i was looking for. - Once negotiations started it took over 3hrs to come to a price and start the financing portion of the purchase. - During financing they rushed you through the papers and tried to upsell you on a number of different items. “Accidentally” trying to charge $500 for a theft protection that was never discussed in negotiations etc… - Once we left the dealership, there were issues with the vehicle. I called our local Toyota dealership and they informed us the vehicle was not a certified pre-owned vehicle, which the Fox Lake location had charged us for “certification” and told us it was. - For the past 3 days I’ve been calling Fox Lake Toyota and have gotten the run around on financing questions that don’t align with the terms we discussed in negotiation and no resolution on the pre-owned certification piece. Overall, I am very disappointed with the sales people at Fox Lake, quality of vehicle i purchased, and price point at which i purchased it. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle at this dealership. More
