I was quoted a price 3 times what I paid for the identical problem 2 years ago, and the service aid could not explain the difference. When I questioned the excess cost, they lowered it a bit. When I got the car back the hood struts no longer held the hood up (and I know for sure they worked when the car arrived at the dealer.) When I complained the service aid just said he had no idea whether they were working or not. I get that hood struts are going to die at some random point, but I suspect the mechanic pushed them up or down too forcefully. The service aid quoted me a ridiculous price to replace them, so I'll either replace them myself or fashion a prop rod. As far as I can tell it appears that the repair was done properly. I sure wish this was not the closest Toyota dealer to where I live. I may try driving across town the next time. More

I always have a good experience when I take my Camry Hybrid to North Austin Toyota's Service Department for maintenance checks. This time I took it in because the "Check Engine " light came on. My service advisor, Seth thoroughly explained the diagnosis process and kept me informed. The part needed for the repair wasn't in stock but he placed an expedited order and advised me that it could take 7-10 days in light of the year-end holidays. Seth gave me his personal phone numbe, promising to keep me updated. The car is now repaired and back in my possession, only 4 days after the initial diagnosis! Seth is a stellar professional who made the process as pleasant as possible. More
