Dan Bittner and his colleagues at Toyota in Turnersville go above and beyond for me every time I go there. I believe this is the 5th car I have purchased from there and they continue to amaze me with their go above and beyond for me every time I go there. I believe this is the 5th car I have purchased from there and they continue to amaze me with their outstanding customer service!!!!!!👍 I always get what I want and then some and never feel rushed or pushed into the deal at any point. This is my second time having to deal with Turnersville Toyota's service department, after buying a $2500 bumper to bumper Toyota platinum warranty, that I was told was no different than the original warra Toyota's service department, after buying a $2500 bumper to bumper Toyota platinum warranty, that I was told was no different than the original warranty. The first time I brought my vehicle in for the air conditioning. I was told by the service writer, it would cost me $280 to hook my vehicle up to their machine. I questioned as to why, I was being charged this if my vehicle was under warranty? They proceeded to get the service manager involved. I believe it was Bobby. He told me the same thing. I would be charged $280 for the AC service. Due, air conditioning and freon being considered maintenance. Anybody that knows anything about AC systems knows that freon is not maintenance. AC systems are sealed units and should not require recharging unless it is low. I proceeded to ask the service manager, if I was to come here during my 3 years 36,000 mile warranty, would the AC be covered? He said absolutely. So I told him again, that's the same warranty my salesman, David Smith told me I was buying. The Service manager proceeded to tell me, "well that's the sales pitch, they give you to sell the warranty." At that point I was so frustrated , I told him I had him on a recorded line stating, "the warranty was only a sales pitch." And that I was going to confront the salesman with his accusation. He then told me to do what I had to do. I guess him trying to call, what he thought was my bluff about the recorded phone call. So I did. The salesman actually went back and confronted the service manager. Low a behold, the service manager then scheduled me appointment to return and have my AC checked and repaired at no charge. According to him this was now a "courtesy." Upon my wifes return for the scheduled appointment, when she walked in, the same service manager confronted her and said, "I just want you to know your husband got me written up." This is completely unprofessional, and I should have just cut my losses at that point. However, 4 months later, I had yet another issue with my 2021 Rav 4. It was making a rattling noise in the front end going over bumps. This time, rather than go in and have an hour debate, I decided to call and schedule an appointment and try to alleviate any disputes about the warranty. So I called the service department and told them my issue. I also told them my previous problem with the service manager and I just wanted to make sure I was not going to be charged a service fee. I spoke to Rihanna in scheduling and she would not confirm that I would not be charged. I asked her as to why, because I have the platinum bumper to bumper warranty. I then reiterated my previous problem there and I didn't waste my time coming up there and have them try to charge me a service fee. She seemed to get very annoyed at my questions. I asked her, if the vehicle is under warranty, why would I be charged a service fee? At that point her annoyance became very indignant. So I requested to speak to a service manager. Which she said, he would call me back. I asked to wait on hold, and she told me, she was unable to hold the call and would have him call me back. As expected, they never did , and I had to call them the next day with my complaint. At this point I had already called Runnemede Toyota to schedule the service appointment that Turnersville Toyota was trying to charge me for. Runnemede Toyota was a pleasure to deal with. Especially after this experience with Turnersville. I ask the person doing the scheduling the same questions I had asked Turnersville Toyota. And they gladly looked up, my name, my vehicle and the warranty and reassured me, that there would be no service fee due to the fact I had the platinum warranty. Why this was such a problem for Turnersville Toyota to do is beyond me? It makes one feel like they're trying to double dip and or see what they can get away with. It's disgusting to say the least. Absolutely horrible! More
