We were in desperate need of another car because our van threw a rod. We are a family of five, so it is very difficult to get everyone where they need to be with just one car. We weren't in a position to go out and make a loan for a new car. I mentioned to Joey that we were looking for another car, one that was cheep enough that we could pay cash with our tax refund. He kept his eyes open and when something came in that looked good he gave me a call. We drove down to Tuscaloosa from Birmingham and bought the car the very same day. I felt really good about getting this car from Joey. He was very considerate to remember us and think about just what we needed. To be honest, I am a person that has always hated car dealers, so for me to like one is actually a pretty big deal for me. I hate the way most car dealers lurk like vultures waiting for you to get out of your car to walk into their show room. If you are slow enough, some will even open your car door for you. It is as if they are all on commission and the first one that jumps on you, gets you and your commission. Once, many years ago when I was still in college and still wasn't very mature, I even drove into a car dealership lot really slow just to tease them, and when several of the men started coming towards me, I drove away real quick. (not at this dealership) But I said all that to say this, the men at Locklear are not at all like that. They are sweet, friendly and sincere people. I know Joey from my church. He had a picture of his daughter on his desk at work and I know his daughter and his wife. He is an honest and sincere person through and through. So I knew going into this deal that Joey is a good person. The financial manager seemed nice and a couple of the other salesmen talked to us to just make conversation as we were leaving. This whole dealership seems to have the most friendly people who are not looking to scam anyone or trick them. I actually walked away from the office of one car dealer in Center Point, AL. I told him I could afford one figure and after we sat in his office, he started talking about another figure that was several thousand dollars more. I got up and walked out. But Joey, on the other hand, he told us a ballpark figure of what he thought he could get the price to be and then he followed through with an amount we could afford and work with. He is trustworthy. I got the feeling that everyone at that dealership were good people, and that feeling is NOT something I take lightly or that I get anywhere else. Linda Warner More

After pricing several vehicles in the Southeast, I ended up driving to Locklear Jeep (approx 100 miles away) to purchase my 2010 Jeep Sahara. The salesperson, Mark Dillon, was very courteous and ensured th up driving to Locklear Jeep (approx 100 miles away) to purchase my 2010 Jeep Sahara. The salesperson, Mark Dillon, was very courteous and ensured the vehicle was detailed, fueled, and ready to go upon my arrival. Even though I was not from the area, Mr Dillon offered to introduce me to the Service Manager as well as other personnel at the dealership. Also Mr Dillon went over the operation of the soft top and accessories and took the time to address specific differences in the 2009 and 2010 models (I had previously owned a 09 Wrangler). He was very knowledgeable on the product which is hard to find today. Also Jason (can't remember his last name) in Financing was extremely courteous and helpful in answering any questions. I was very impressed with the facilities and professionalism of the staff and would recommend this dealership to anyone. More

Jimmy, my salesman, was knowledgeable and if he did not know details, he found them online or asked someone. Jason, finance, worked to get us a good price and trade-in. Everyone was very friendly. Only problem was that we bought a special (with the traded-in) car for 4 oil changes for $70. We used one at time of purchase and now have 3 paid oil changes that we cannot have refunded or transferred to the new vehicle. If this issue was taken care of we would be happier. More
