After reading some of the comments on this web site I was worried about buying a car from Vandergriff. I did a lot of research on the web regarding the vehicle I wanted to purchase before I visited any deal worried about buying a car from Vandergriff. I did a lot of research on the web regarding the vehicle I wanted to purchase before I visited any dealer. Maybe I was just lucky, but I had a VERY good salesperson. She was not pushy at all, but she was very knowledgeable about the products and anticipated, as well as answered all my questions. I never felt pressured or rushed. There was a little negotiating, but I told her my top dollar amount right at the beginning. Since I had researched the cost, I knew we were both getting a fair deal. Once we agreed on the cost, I was worried that there would be some last minute changes based on some of the other people's comments, but the price did not change and there were no mistakes. The sales person, sales manager and the business manager were all very careful to make sure that all details were exactly as we had agreed. The car was in perfect condition and they also had another person who went over every function of the car with me before I drove away. Once I decided on the model and trim level, the purchase went very quickly and smoothly. I would highly recommend my salesperson and I have no complaints about Vandergriff Honda at all. More
I gave all Metroplex dealers the chance to bid for my business. Vandergriff and Lute Riley remained in contention. When Lute Riley dropped their price I gave Vandergriff a chance to have my business wh business. Vandergriff and Lute Riley remained in contention. When Lute Riley dropped their price I gave Vandergriff a chance to have my business which they accepted and gave me a better offer over the phone. When I arrived they claimed there was a misunderstanding (a lie because I clarified 3 times over the phone) and they held to a higher price. After four hours we finally agreed on a price (Vandergriff had the color I wanted). What I was unhappy about was that they acused me of misrepresenting the truth (sounds like someone was trying to save their job).

Look out, financing had a couple tricks up their sleeve. Three hours later I had corrected all their mistakes (aka: scams) and was out the door with a new car. These guys were slimy but smiled while doing it so I gave them a higher score for friendliness. Had I not have done my homework I'm sure they would have been ready and willing to screw me. More
Worst car buying experience ever. Very pushy and lie straight to your face. When I called them on it they admitted that what we were told by their employees was a lie but now that the deal is done ther straight to your face. When I called them on it they admitted that what we were told by their employees was a lie but now that the deal is done there is nothing they can do about it. They will not take their car back just because you fell for their deception. Oh yeah, they conveniently forget to tell you that all of your private conversations are being VIDEOTAPED. Only found this out when the Sales Manager let it slip that he would have to review the tape to confirm the lies we were told. More
Despite warnings from friends, I went to this nearby dealership hoping to buy a new car. I had financing already in hand, picked out a car, came up with a price, and everyone was all smiles. But then dealership hoping to buy a new car. I had financing already in hand, picked out a car, came up with a price, and everyone was all smiles. But then the staff tried to bully me into using Honda financing despite that I already had financing. No more smiles when I said no. I eventually had to walk out. I guess I will listen to my friends in the future. More
