We tried to buy a 2018 Elantra GT listed online at $14,200...nice car & good price. Salesmen were nice (Joe & Christopher), but when it came time to talk price, things went awry quickly. The sales manager threw some numbers around and said the final cost was $17,200. When we asked for an itemized breakdown of costs, they said the extra $3,000 was for taxes (they calculated 12% tax, but we knew it should be 6.25%) and “other fees like washing the car.” They could not tell us exactly what those fees were. We tried to negotiate but they wouldn’t budge. We wasted five hours at this dealership. Later that day we purchased a 2018 Elantra GT with lower mileage from Van Hyundai with an “out-the-door” final price of $14,700. They were wonderful!! Don’t be bullied at Vandergriff...walk out and keep looking!! More

The only thing that is transparent is that this place is exactly what you think of when you think of shady car dealers. “Transparent pricing” to me means what you see is what you get. Not here. More
