Varney Buick GMC Mazda

I hate to even say anything bad about this company, but my wife and I had a bad bad experience with Varney Mazda .I have to say its not all the young mans fault that we dealt with he was let to believe tha my wife and I had a bad bad experience with Varney Mazda .I have to say its not all the young mans fault that we dealt with he was let to believe that all folks that walk into a dealership are not what they say they are, sad sad world we live in. My wife and I are from a little town in Wade Maine in Aroostook County and we work really close with our bank and we are a returning customer .I told the young man that we needed a red cx90 and we wanted to get this done soon as possible and our local bank had already approved use for the purchase and had done all there regular credit checks and the young man found us the suv we needed so i gave him the 500 to go get the car in NH and he made it happen. All day Friday of 05/29/2026 went by and our bank called and said dealership still did not call them ,so i called and told the young man he needs to send the buyers sheet for the bank and at 430pm he sent it ,so at that point we thought all was good to go, nope not even close.05/30/26 we show up around 1230pm and we bring down her 2021 cx5 GT for trade. He showed us our new 2026 cx90 and we found scratches on wear bumper and I addressed that and at that point the young mans boss took over the deal and I told them we didn't drive 160 miles for a damaged new car and I told them we need to figure out this and I asked for more on our trade or less for new car and it took an hour before we came to an understanding and the young mans boss said there buffing the scratches and didn't see the problem and what I was asking was to much and said in front of my wife and I ,Come on man its just scratches .and at that point my wife almost walked out.so in the end they gave us $750 off cost and wet sanded a brand new car and we excepted that,thats not it ,not the end of the story ,We sat down to do the signing and young man said I got to run your credit at that point i was already heated and I said that hard work has already been done ,He spoke to the bank on Friday, He would not let us have that car until he ran are credit again.so we have 2 hard hits on our credit report for the same car. I'm guessing his boss thought us county folks was telling them stories or something. We won't be back for car number 3 .I asked the kid in the end do we get a free oil change or something and he said sorry got nothing for you. Sad ending to a great company for us . More

Its performance, styling and interior belie its reasonable cost and give much more expensive luxury vehicles a run for their money. It is truly awesome. But equally awesome was the attention, assistance, knowledgeability, professionalism and friendliness of the enfire staff at Varney. They made my purchase a real pleasure rather than the terrible experience often associated with car dealerships. Thanks to everyone - and thanks for my wonderful new Mazda! More
