Very impersonal, inter-department communincation issues A few things that could be better: - When I arrived, they asked me what I was there for. I told them I had an appointment, thinking that they were go A few things that could be better: - When I arrived, they asked me what I was there for. I told them I had an appointment, thinking that they were going to look it up in the computer, but they didn’t. They wrote it down on a piece of paper and sent me to the waiting room after learning I was going to need a replacement car. Later on, they asked me to go with a gentleman and he would take care of me. Just like that, no explanation on about how long it was going to take my car to be ready, and that the gentleman was from Enterprise car rental. This is the first time I do this, so I guess I “should” have known. - The next day, a representative called me in the morning to ask me if I had made it to my appointment. I was a little perplexed, because I thought they had that on record already. Did I go to a different dealership? Looked to me that there’s no inter-department communication. - Later that afternoon, a gentleman called me from the service department to let me know that my car was ready to be picked up. It was after 4 pm and he said they closed at 6, but I could go the next day. But then he realized I had a rental and he said if I didn’t return it that day, they would be charged with an extra day of rental. Really? Complaining about $30 when I just paid over $30K? Besides, did he think I was sitting around waiting for his call to run and return the rental right away? I only had one and a half hours before they close, had several thinks to do and I really didn’t appreciate that comment. I asked him if they had a special deal with Enterprise, because by the time he called me, more than 24hrs had already passed since I rented the car. He sounded a little upset and said it was okay to bring it the next day. - When I went to pick up my car, I was expecting some explanation on what they had done. Obviously, I knew what they had to do, but at least out of courtesy. Instead, they gave me paperwork to go and pay and when I came back, they told me my car was outside waiting for me. The car was running (kind of odd to me) and I turned it off to try to operate the remote started they had just installed. But couldn’t figure it out. I went to ask for help and at that moment they were shutting the door. I raised my hand and even though a couple of people saw me, they didn’t acknowledge me, as if I wasn’t there. So I had to go to the side door and asked for assistance. They did help me and they were polite, but by then I wasn’t too happy with the service. Overall, my experience wasn’t too pleasant. Too impersonal and no inter-department communication. In fact, the week before this service, I called to make an appointment because a service light had gone off in my car. After supposedly checking with the service department, the lady I spoke with told me I could go at that moment and they would check it for me. I went five minutes later and they didn’t know anything about it. The lady that attended me said I had to wait about an hour just for them to be able to check my car. I understood they were busy, but when I asked her if somebody could take me home because I couldn’t wait, she said by the time they took me home, maybe my car would have been ready (as if my house was an hour away). So I would have to wait for at least an hour just to get my car checked. I asked her why they told me they could check it right away and she said she didn’t know who I spoke with and she shouldn’t have told me that. Basically, the only option she gave me was to wait until they had time to get to my car. So I walked away. I didn’t have time to wait. Again, inter-department communication issues. I’m a new customer and so far I haven’t really feel like I’ve been treated as if want to be kept as a customer. I hope that changes and I hope this feedback helps somehow. More
