Disappointed in Canandaigua Vision Hyundai. We purchased a barely used 2023 Hyundai Elantra March 6th. Last Thursday I tried using the A/C first time……didn’t work. Took it in for service on Wed We purchased a barely used 2023 Hyundai Elantra March 6th. Last Thursday I tried using the A/C first time……didn’t work. Took it in for service on Wednesday fully expecting it to be a warranty repair. A couple hours later I got a call telling me the problem was caused by stone going through the grill cracking the condenser…..a $1500 repair not covered by warranty. Went to their service department today asking to see certification records for the car. The only inspection and certification records they could provide were from early last summer and October 2023. Those records could not demonstrate that the damage to the A/C wasn’t already there when we bought the car. Ultimately talked to the manager. After pleading our case, he produced a 3rd document dated March 6th claiming it demonstrated inspection on date of sale. From what I could see, it appeared to be nothing more than their record of the sale. Under the circumstances I suggested it be appropriate for the repair cost to be a shared responsibility. I was bluntly told “absolutely not”. More

I used to love Hyundai but since it’s been sold, the service and care has diminished greatly. I highly recommend Vision Hyundai for auto repair and maintenance. The mechanics are top notch.
