Rude personnel. The service dept knew that I needed the engine light checked out but they said they couldn't do it. The reason for it kept changing. engine light checked out but they said they couldn't do it. The reason for it kept changing. More
I had to drop my car off in the night drop. I received a text that my car was checked in early the following morning. When I entered the service area there were two men sitting in desk 1 and 2 that were clearly busy but did not acknowledge my presence at all. A basic hi ma’am we will be with you in just a moment woul sitting in desk 1 and 2 that were clearly busy but did not acknowledge my presence at all. A basic hi ma’am we will be with you in just a moment would have made a huge difference. Instead I had to try and find my text message that told me who my service advisor was supposed to be and find him myself. Carlos my advisor was actually very polite and professional but then when it came time for me to leave my vehicle I was told there was no courtesy transportation. I’m 8mos pregnant and every other dealership I’ve ever gone to including this one has offered transportation when your wait will be over an hour. I was told the Uber service had been discontinued and had to pay for one myself. I don’t expect Uber to be the exact service but to have no transportation at all is not convenient for anyone. After waiting hours to even hear what was wrong with my vehicle I had to call and check at about 4:45, my car had been there since 1, I had received no status update or was ever asked if I wanted the recommended work done. I was instead told it was a simple sensor replace and that it was probably under warranty but he would call me back. When he finally called back nearly an hour later when we were almost to the dealership we were told it was actually the battery and it was replaced. Again told it was under warranty but then oh wait no actually your warranty had just expired in April. My husband said ok let’s talk when we pull in as we were on the street the dealership is. We get there and are told all the work is done, the battery has been replaced and reprogrammed and it will be $420 and it isn’t at all covered by warranty or extended warranty. Exactly what options did we even have at that point? Work that wasn’t even authorized had already been done and it was either pay for it or I guess wait for them to undo what they’d done and take my unfixed car back. What if we didn’t have that money available right away. Never have I dealt with a dealership or any auto service provider that went ahead and replaced or fixed anything without calling, telling us what the problem was, and getting at least verbal authorization if not having you e sign saying you approve the quote. Again Carlos was polite and really the only person we got at least good customer service from but as our service advisor he should have been in better communication with us. We did appreciate the military discount but again there was an intense lack of communication from the moment I walked in the door. Definitely considering even changing vehicle brands all together because of the clear lack of customer service when we visit a Volkswagen dealership where one would expect 5star service to represent the brand as we do when we visit the Jeep dealership down the road.
