Brought my Atlas in because check engine light was on. A couple error codes were the cause. Had those items addressed and was also told I needed brakes. i questioned why I was told I needed brakes when I A couple error codes were the cause. Had those items addressed and was also told I needed brakes. i questioned why I was told I needed brakes when I had my annual inspection at the dealership 5 or 6 weeks prior to this visit and no one said anything about needing brakes or even the fact that they were low. I made a service appointment at another shop a week later to replace the brakes. So I dropped my Atlas off at 7am and around 2pm they called and asked if I was having brake problems, I said no just needed them replaced. They then told me that the front was 8/32 and the rear were 9/32. They said save your money as I actually did NOT beed brakes. So it cost me $30 and another days pay for nothing. I am almost certain I was told I needed brakes just to increase the Dealership’s bottom line. I don’t like being lied to and I may not be back. More
