First being that they charge a 3% convenience fee that was not disclosed prior to doing the work and I only learned about this when it was time to make a payment. Nobody carries large amounts of cash to pay for service at a dealership. Additionally they are the most expensive in town, and they want an additional 3%. Second, I brought my Tiguan in for service. Not for an appraisal or sales. I have now become inundated with sales people from VW of Streetsboro trying to buy my car back claiming they have an upgrade yet they are unable to match my vehicle on specs and would be a downgrade at the same cost. I am at the point where I am going to pursue legal action next time I am contacted by this dealership. More
I would leave zero stars if possible. I have taken my car here for years but will never again after my experience last week. Took it for annual service and they botched the oil filter. It I have taken my car here for years but will never again after my experience last week. Took it for annual service and they botched the oil filter. It leaked (and I didn’t notice), then my car essentially broke down. They refused to accept responsibility and frankly were jerks on the phone. I had to tow it myself and pay for it. They refused to reimburse me for the botched service job but begrudgingly fixed the oil filter and adapter after I fought with them for hours. Very unprofessional, both in their customer service and technical service (they forced the oil filter back in place and punctured it, then sent me off like that). Never again. More
Used to be great years past, then there was a management change and a palpable change in atmosphere. When I bought my GTI, I requested that the BBS wheels from my trade-in be transferred to my purchased car change and a palpable change in atmosphere. When I bought my GTI, I requested that the BBS wheels from my trade-in be transferred to my purchased car, which they did, but I had to school them that the BBS wheels required a different wheel bolt head profile than the ones from the stock wheels. Their error would have caused a safety issue. A later service visit; the tech treated my GTI like a personal toy, had time to fiddle with the radio settings and left the interior in disarray. I voiced my displeasure in an email and never got a response. I'm done permanently. More
ABSOLUTELY THE MOST TERRIBLE SERVICE and SAFETY ISSUE WITH TIRE!!! THEY COVERED UP DAMAGE!!! The new vehicle (female owner) was brought back in for tire leak on SAME tire that was previously repaired by WITH TIRE!!! THEY COVERED UP DAMAGE!!! The new vehicle (female owner) was brought back in for tire leak on SAME tire that was previously repaired by the service department. The Tech had ripped a large section of bead off the tire down to steel belt and purposely remounted the damaged tire. This damage was discovered when 2nd Tech broke tire down as they could not understand why it was still leaking when it was brought back in for losing air. We asked that they replace the tire as it wasn’t fixable and clearly was their fault as their service department did the work and then reinstalled the dangerously damaged tire. Scot Clapham was completely unprofessional and un willing to do anything to fix the situation that was clearly created by their Tech. It makes you wonder if they are risking other customers lives with sub standard and dangerous work? Shame on you Scot Clapham!!! More
Service department cracked my windshield on my 2019 Atlas with 10k miles on it, either in car wash or while performing service. Service manager offered to split the cost 50/50 with me. Of course this was a r with 10k miles on it, either in car wash or while performing service. Service manager offered to split the cost 50/50 with me. Of course this was a ridiculous offer by the organization that caused the damage. I asked to speak to the general manager of the dealership and was told he wasn't available and that the offer "was a good as it was going to get." The service managers name was Brian Kaufman. It was clear that Brian didn't care about the Volkswagen name or customer service. Only protecting his own job and bottom line. Tried to contact the general manager multiple times by text, email, and phone calls. Never received a return in correspondence. Will never go to Volkswagen Streetsboro again and may never buy another VW again. I'm on my 5th Volkswagen and have never had this kind of treatment by any customer service business. Will be pursuing corrective action through other legal means. If a car dealership isn't willing to do the right thing in their service department, they certainly won't do the right thing in their sales department. There are plenty of other good VW dealerships in the area like Kempthorn, Akron, and Bedford. This was unfortunately the closest one to home for me. More
Kudos to Scott, Chris and Tevin from Streetsboro (Ohio)Volkswagen Service for their help on Friday, Nov. 10th. We decided to take our normally reliable 2013 Beetle “Sun Bug” to visit the grandkids in Lansing Michigan. Just east of Cleveland, 400 miles from home, the check-engine light came on. Unbelievably, a check of GPS said we were a mere 5 miles from a VW dealer in Streetsboro, Ohio, but it was 4:15pm on a Friday. Could they help? Not only did Tevin and Scott take us in immediately, but service tech Chris diagnosed a rare case of loose bolts on the intake manifold causing an air leak that set off 7 problem codes. He tightened the bolts reset the codes, tested the engine and had us on our way in under an hour. Service manager and Buckeye fan Scott explained everything thoroughly and invited us to use the dealership’s quick charger should we decide to take the EV on the next trip. They turned what could have been a lengthy, expensive disaster into a quick and painless pit stop. Thanks, guys. Andy & Kathy Rominiecki Milton, DE More
Service has zero follow up, I have had my car in for service twice and each time the next day the check engine light came on! The third time I am still waiting, dropped it off on 10/9 and today I was to service twice and each time the next day the check engine light came on! The third time I am still waiting, dropped it off on 10/9 and today I was told it "may" be done next week Wednesday 11/1 or Thursday 11/2! I have had to call them each time to find out what the wait was, they didn't call me! More

The service department has my car for over two weeks and I only received one update on the second day they had my car until the day it was finished. I called the service department numerous times and never did anyone answer the phone. I left all kinds of messages and never received a call back. I finally drove the 25 miles from my home to try and get an update. I could only find one person working and he did not really know about my situation although he did try to find out some information which was actually incorrect. When my daughter finally picked up my car for me the brand new battery I had just recently purchased from AAA was completely dead and a headlight was out which made me wonder how much they really took care of my car while in their possession. The lack of communication and poor customer service will keep me from dealing with this organization in the future. More
God bless my children, for the birthday gift of the down payment!! I cried!! So sales was fine!! Driving it off the lot the hesitation in the gas pedal was there...but a weekend at Myrtle Beach was also in payment!! I cried!! So sales was fine!! Driving it off the lot the hesitation in the gas pedal was there...but a weekend at Myrtle Beach was also included in this blessing. It's a new car. I noticed Driving this big V6, SUV...it has little power pushing this big vehicle!!! That hesitation in the gas...no thrust is loud and annoying when it's time to move!! But the greatest disappointment is Volkswagen insulting my intelligence...because I'm an African American female...saying they find nothing wrong with the fact that you go from 0 to 15 mph before the car gains any momentum!! Discrimination, racist, gender prejudice...what?? Why?? More
