I had several problems with my Volvo on a weekend and I called the dealer on Saturday letting them know I had a problem with my lights in particular. I got an appointment for Monday and was given a loaner called the dealer on Saturday letting them know I had a problem with my lights in particular. I got an appointment for Monday and was given a loaner while they worked on the car. A few hours later I was told it was fixed and also received a video from the technician explaining what was done. Car is running great after a complete software update, thanks! More
I’ve been with Volvo Cape Cod for over a decade. This time was different— the video inspection was a new splash, but they measured the tread thickness on my tires without noticing they were snow tir This time was different— the video inspection was a new splash, but they measured the tread thickness on my tires without noticing they were snow tires. Also, with $2500 service they failed to include new windshield wipers, a surprising setback. More
They wanted over $400 for a reservoir I purchased for $50. They wanted over$700 for a headless gut assembly that I got for $179. They wanted over $900 for a negative battery cable. They replaced the ther $50. They wanted over$700 for a headless gut assembly that I got for $179. They wanted over $900 for a negative battery cable. They replaced the thermostat housing for over $700 and when I got it home it still leaked anti freeze. I was going to have to bring it back on the boat, pay over $170 for the boat, another $80 for an Uber to get back to the boat. Instead in the cold I removed the skid plate with great difficulty, put it on jackstands in the driveway, and get 3 full turns on the nut on the clamp for the lower driver’s side radiator hose. That was the leak whenever tha car cooled from running. Hasn’t leaked since. Now I got my battery changed at Juffy Lube and as soon as I did the passenger side airbag lot came on. I explained this to them. They said it was an error code that the car thought I had installed a shutoff switch for the airbag. They wanted$1500 to fix a problem with the Volvo software. As it is I spent $3400 on the repairs they did do and it still leaked. I also have brought my Volvo V70 there.I spent $2400 one trip then $2000 the next. That’s $7800 in less than a year and I would expect better treatment as a customer. You’ve turned me off to Volvos. More
After listening to my concerns about a tinny sound the service folks couldn't find, my service coordinator suggested I record the sound on my phone. Rather than think I was exaggerating, her idea allowed service folks couldn't find, my service coordinator suggested I record the sound on my phone. Rather than think I was exaggerating, her idea allowed me to record the sound and return to the dealership where they identified the problem. A little listening and creative problem solving worked!!
