My daughter drove the car through college. most recent experience with Volvo Cars West Houston (VCWH). I bought a 2018 Hyundai (used car) from VCWH. My daughter drove the car through college. Then....one fine day, the engine seized up. Oh no. What a disaster. I had the car towed to the Shell station across from my house. I had the Shell guys look at it, and they said, my daughter ran it with out oil, and the engine seized up. Nothing to do, but buy a new engine. Geesh! Then I had my discount repair guys in China Town look at it and they said, same thing. New engine needed. Disaster. The car was not worth putting a new engine in her. I had run in to a dead end! So, since I had such a good experience from VCWH when I bought the car, I decided to call them up and explore options. I was planning to trade it in for scrap, or whatever, when I got a call from the manager over at VCWH. The manager said, he recalled that Hyundai, had a 10 year warranty on that engine because it had been defective and they had had several recalls. The manager said, to take the car to Sterling McCall Hyundai and tell them what happened. So I towed the car over to the Hyundai dealer. They Hyundai dealer, agreed to give it a full diagnostic over view and find out exactly what happened. The management at VCWH guided me through the whole process. They said the Hyundai dealer would try everything they could to reject the warrant claim. They were exactly right. They had all kinds of excuses as to why they were not going to honor the warranty claim. VCWH helped me to overcome each and every rejection. Long story short, Hyundai put a brand new engine in the vehicle for free. Hyundai paid for all my towing charges and....they even paid for my daughters 2 weeks of rental car! All in all, VCWH, saved me a ton of money. I have not doubt, that I will not buy a car, from any other dealer in Houston. Well done and Thank you! Jimmy Larsen More
