them.. Jamie my sales person was okay. The pre-owned team was not genuine- led by General Sales Manager Steve C. Who hid behind his sales person and his completely unprofessional sales manager Carlos in Pre-Owned who seems to hate his job....
I drove to this dealership multiple times(an hour drive from my home) to purchase the Alfa Romeo on 04/13/2021 , 5 DAYS later took it back after 1. ALL lights came on, on the dash board.. 2. for the oil change that was never done.. 3. the maintenance light to be reset.. 4. for a bad paint job.. 5. the car jerking as I drove it.. 6. my auto start warning light coming on.. 7. the interior driver door damage(never fixed as promised) , etc... I had the vehicle briefly before the dash looked like a Christmas tree. We sent a real time video to the general sales manager. I let them know I was not going to drive the car up there to have it looked at because I was not going to risk my life or my family driving a car in that condition. I left the car sitting in the garage about 2 days until they arrived to tow it. The tow person mentioned that he had to pick up a vehicle in this type of condition for Dodge Waldorf in the past, it was a Mercedes. They took my car and I was car-less for 3 days. Pre-owned dept. tells me they took it to “blue ribbon” a shop near there because their service dept. could not diagnose or fix a foreign/exotic car that I purchased from them. My husband and I called “blue ribbon” to see what they had done to the vehicle they stated they never had seen the vehicle and they would not dare take in foreign/exotic cars. When I picked up the vehicle from this dealership they stated that I had left a light on and that’s what drained the battery and caused the vehicle to have all the lights turn on... They state they charged the battery for me and that everything was fine! Of course they were lying. I ended up taking the car to Alfa Romeo in Tysons to have them look at the issue, they ended up having to actually charge the battery because a misplaced plug was draining it. I was there 3 hours having that done and also waiting on dodge Waldorf to confirm that they had change the oil because the maintenance light was never reset by the dealership even though we asked it be done multiple times before and after purchase; Alfa Romeo could not reset the maintenance light because for safety reasons they needed to have written proof the oil change was done by dodge Waldorf. That’s when I found out through Dodge Waldorf Service Dept. that the oil change was never done on the vehicle they sold me, so we did not have Alfa Romeo Tysons reset it that day so dodge could actually change the oil. Later that week as I drove it out my home the car began to jerk as I drove it, like it wanted to turn off; It kept jerking on my way to work and the auto start warning light came on that morning. I ended up driving the car up there and they promised they would take care of absolutely everything, The GSM seemed honest at that moment to take care of everything to make me feel safe with the car. I trusted them once again even though they lied the first round, when they lied about charging the battery. I asked for a “we owe” but we never were given one. They gave me a loaner with a little less than a quarter of gas for about a week but during the time of “fixing” my car, I never received the “we owe” that I asked for several times! 3 days later the sales person texts me saying the “car is ready”..... I kept asking for proof of what was done to the vehicle before I drove an hour to pick up the car; I wanted to be assured it was ready. I called their service department and spoke to an advisor; he stated the car was in fact NOT READY that whoever told me it was ready did not know what they were talking about. That unless my service advisor Jennifer contacted me then it was not ready. He stated that only the oil was changed and something like lubrication was added to the breaks for the squeaking it was making, But that the major issue which was engine related was NOT fixed yet. My husband called the GSM and steve let him know that: no the vehicle was not ready; to give them a “few days” to take care of it. On 05/21/2021 Jamie texted me saying she had already informed me that my vehicle was ready and that they needed THEIR vehicle(loaner) back! I let her know the conversation between my husband and her GSM. A couple hours later I get a surprise visit at my job! By “Byron” and Jamie.. “Byron” came in asking for me and told me he was dropping off my vehicle and taking their car back. at this point I was very upset for these people to show up to my work place unannounced; when I kept asking for written proof of what they did to my car and never received it. Byron stated my car was parked right by their loaner. So these people had driven all around the grounds of my job like creeps to make sure I was here and that their car was here. Byron, whom would not tell me what his position was at Dodge Waldorf but spoke and acted as if he knew it all; he kept stating that I bought the car as-is and that as soon as it had its first troubles I should of taken it straight to an Alfa Romeo not the dealership I bought it from. The customer service was horrid; I guess these people are not looking for clients but just one time customers who they treat how ever they want. I’m sure if any of these people I encountered were treated as they treated me then they would be just as cross as I have been or worse. I can only assume they are used to treating their customers this way and once they have their money they no longer care. The service department people were so great, only through them did I find out the truth; dodge Waldorf never actually did work on my vehicle, they never did an oil change(sold it to me without doing one), I don’t think they did an actual real Maryland State Inspection.. in the end after all this mess, I only got an oil change that was supposed to be done anyways, and a lousy paint job to cover a paint chip... Also the “finance director” Allen; very very rude, unprofessional, he should not speak to customers at all.
This dealership really lives up to what a lot of people think of dealerships. That’s why people do not trust when they go into a dealership. FOR DEALERSHIPS LIKE THIS ONE. I really do feel sorry this went downhill so quickly; I really wanted to like this place, In beginning everything seemed cool maybe because I was a buying customer and they had not sold a car that day? but it ended so disappointing and distasteful. Do not come here unless you want to be lied to, and just stressed out of your mind.
