When I bought my brand new 2025 Equinox RS, I never imagined that within the first year and under 12,000 miles, I’d be making four warranty trips to the dealership for the same unresolved problems. imagined that within the first year and under 12,000 miles, I’d be making four warranty trips to the dealership for the same unresolved problems. Most recently, all major computer functions failed and USB, Bluetooth, CarPlay, Android Auto, the 360° camera, and even the onboard Google navigation could not be opened. This happened after West Chevy broke the original computer during an update and installed a replacement, leaving me in a rental for two weeks. After months of back‑and‑forth, they finally agreed to replace the faulty turn indicator stalk (which malfunctions and snaps the opposite direction) — an issue they’d known about but refused to cover under warranty because it wasn’t deemed “unsafe.” As for the dead computer, I was told GM is “looking into it,” but in the meantime, I should return the loaner and take back my fully loaded vehicle with no working computer at all and a turn indicator switch that signals to other drivers that I’m intending to traveling in a direction that I am not. On my most recent visit (8/23/25), West temporarily revived the system by manually clearing the cache in each app, a fix expected to last about a week. Despite two clear videos I provided, the general manager claimed not to see that my steering wheel was off‑center. The technician inspecting the turn indicator stalk also gouged the plastic steering column housing. I’ve now been told to return in 3–4 weeks for warranty trip #5 to address both the stalk and the steering wheel. Six Chevrolets. Three bought new. Every other dealership and model treated me right. My first time at West, and the incompetence is astounding. Avoid this dealership at all costs. More
