I'm sorry we didn't do a better job explaining why we feel the rust built up on your rotors. We find this is more common with folks who don't put many miles on their vehicle. This gives the moisture and/or road salt time to cause the rust build up, especially in New England. Given what we found with your rotors, the rust wasn't severe or unsafe but we wanted to get them replaced while under warranty.
