I recently had what I thought was the alternator go out in my CRV. When I called to schedule an appointment, I was told it would be about a week, before the department could get me in. After I was able to borrow a friends vehicle to drive, my wife and I brought mine to the dealership on a Tuesday night and left it.( the 8th ; appt, was the 14th) That Wednesday, I received a call from service that they had determined it was the starter, not the alternator. I gave the go ahead to fix it and by that afternoon my vehicle was ready for pick up. Due to my schedule, I wasn’t able to pick it up until late Thursday, however, I was so happy that the service dept., staff were able to work my car in ahead of schedule and get me back on the road. I took it here to get my alarm re-calibrated to get my sensors worked on so it would audibly "beep", ensuring that the car was locked for safety purposes. In addition I asked to realign my headlights since it looked like one was higher than the other causing a safety concern. In addition to all that, I was told I had to pay $68 to borrow a car to go to work. That didn't sit well since the Findlay Honda dealer doesn't charge but Lima does. When I got my car back I was told it was fixed and I returned to work. When I got back to work I noticed that there was no "beeping" when I locked the car, the headlights were the same as when I brought it in and it just appeared that nothing was done since there were no corrections to what I wanted to get worked on, even though it was explained it was fixed. Bottom line was I've been screwed by this Honda dealer before and shame on me for going back for service again, but this experience was just poor from my standpoint. Again. Seems like nothing was done but they'll charge me $98 for the work and $68 for the rental car. The price I paid for service didn't seem worth it since it just looks like nothing was done. Definitely going to go elsewhere the next time. The explanation on what was done was fine its was the actual work that I question. More
