It had been more than a few years of going back and forth about buying new Toyota car. Two things held me back to make a final decision: 1. the price/spec of Prius, and 2. hesitance to visit a Toyota dealer about buying new Toyota car. Two things held me back to make a final decision: 1. the price/spec of Prius, and 2. hesitance to visit a Toyota dealer as a woman with "junior" status in a company, for we think that we don't get much respect from sales people as a strong conceived . I admit that the latter had been a rather major issue due to my unfortunate experiences with "typical dealers" in past. A week ago, I finally visited Toyota with full of suspect that "this visit" will turn into the usual one - sales people will push me to buy what they want to sell. When Mike was introduced to me, first thing he did was NOT pushing his agenda, but LISTENED TO my needs and help me in making right decisions in terms of car, trim, options, etc. He is indeed THE BEST auto sales person I have ever met, and with his help, I could decide to purchase my new Prius C......a phenomenal car! More
I get the distinct impression that some people are treated better than others by this guy...if you know what I mean. I'll never buy another car at this dealership, or have my car serviced here. I heard the TV ads about Spartan Toyota, so we thought we would look into it. Mike meant us as soon as we walked in the door. We had done a lot of research on the features we wanted on our new Sienna. Mike h would look into it. Mike meant us as soon as we walked in the door. We also had a price and trade in figure in mind and Mike was very helpful getting us a deal that we were happy with. While we were working with the financial department, Mike went out and visited with my Mother who was waiting in the car to make sure she was comfortable or needed anything. I felt that was way above an beyond, but it was very nice. We drove in that morning in our 2004 van an drove out in a few hours in our new 2013 van, very happy with our experience and our deal. I would certainly recommend Mike McMillan and Spartan Toyota. More
I just leased my 4th RAV4...so to say that I like them is an understatement! I can go to any Toyota dealer to lease, but chose Spartan Toyota because of the caliber of people they employee. I walked into Spartan Toyota not knowing much about my vehicle or the repairs it might need. I left feeling completely satisfied with the work that was done, the time Service Assistants took to explain w vehicle or the repairs it might need. I cannot thank Joe Criscuolo and his team enough for the service they provided me. As a returning customer they know how to take care of you, and I will very likely continue to purchase my vehicles from there in the future. More
The car buying experience with Mike was EXCELLENT. He had excellent knowledge of the brand, of cars in general, and was able to patiently answer all my questions. He also knew the competition. After I bought the car Mike took care of removing the price and other stickers from the windows, programming the garage door opener, and covering a number of features in the car that we had not covered during the two test drives. From the moment I was introduced to Mike McMillan, I was treated with respect and was able to ask questions, look at all of the cars I wanted to, take as many test drives as I needed to, talk about my price treated with respect and was able to ask questions, look at all of the cars I wanted to, take as many test drives as I needed to, talk about my price range, ask about financing, etc., without being made to feel like I was about to be taken to the cleaners or that I was just some "dumb" lady that could easily be intimidated. I had recently looked at vans at a Right Toyota in Phoenix. You cannot imagine the run around, the many different "deals" they proposed that were not only outrageous, but totally insulting and humiliating. It was like the good cop/bad cop routine! I truly appreciate being talked to and listened to and not being given the run around. I told Mike that when women come shopping for cars alone, that means they are alone for the most part and do not have someone to help make the decisions that go along with buying a car. I truly appreciated not being made to feel vulnerable and emotional about making a car deal. I wasn't made to feel rushed or insecure at any time during the decision making process. Mike made the process of getting the extras put on my vehicle a seamless transaction, transferred the tags from the car I traded in to the new vehicle, talked with my insurance company to be sure they had the correct information to insure the new vehicle, called me later in the day to tell me how to get the Sirius XM subscription activated, spent lots of time showing me all of the features on my new van...he even went to get the van that had the features I wanted on it from another dealership! It is just amazing how much time, energy and compassion he spent on my behalf. I am so very appreciative of him, his tremendous help in this overwhelming process, and his unbelievable kindness to my situation. I learned a lot in this car buying venture. I am so glad that I had met Mike before I had the experience at the dealership in Phoenix. The experience in Phoenix is the "experience" I was expecting...I am sad to say. After that horrible experience, I literally came running back to Lansing to have Mike help me through this car buying adventure. What I learned however, is that no one deserves to be treated like the salesmen in Phoenix treated my parents and I. I now know for sure that there is at least one extremely kind individual that will treat his customers with kindness, decency and respect. I have really been enjoying driving my new van these last three days. I sincerely want to say thank you Mike for helping to make this possible for me. More
