I thought that Reggie, the Service Advisor handled our transaction with speed and efficiency. He couldn't have been more caring, or sympathetic is helping solve our situation. The letter below is a copy of the email she recently wrote to her direct car salesman. It has been a week since she sent her heartfelt email to him....she has received NO response...not even the token, generic 'thank you.' I wanted the best for my daughter during her first car buying-experience and encouraged her to stay local, in our home town. Now I wish I had given her better advice... Sincerely, Jennifer Reardon Hello, I am writing this email because, frankly, I have no other way to get my point across and I am so unhappy with the service I received that I left your dealership in tears after our most recent encounter. I feel taken advantage of, bulldozed and lied to and I do not believe that is an acceptable way for any establishment to be doing business. After YOUR calculations of my income turned out to be incorrect, I spent two weeks answering phone calls from your office AND the financial institution after our deal was supposedly closed. When I finally believed that to be corrected and thought I could breathe again, I received word from Kelly that my loan had changed and "might go up a couple dollars" but that all I needed to do to finish all of this was sign some paperwork. However, neither you, nor your superior thought that I deserved to know the amount before I signed the papers, so when you set that contract in front of me and finally told me the payment was going up to $418 the shocked and anxiety took over. You took advantage of my inexperience in car buying and trust in your team used it against me. Because I panicked, I am now contractually obligated to pay a hundred MORE dollars a month then I said I could afford for a car that I did not want. Your team put me in a lesser vehicle promising a cheaper payment and I got the exact opposite. This has been one of the most awful experiences that I have ever had, and I must say that I will not be doing business at any Team Ford locations again. I am not exactly sure what I am seeking in writing this email, but I did not have the heart to leave a bad review (who knows why) and that was my only other option. Your team took my first car purchase and turned it into a lengthy and incredibly unpleasant battle. More
HORRIBLE SERVICE DEPARTMENT I purchased a used car and within 3 months a slew of issues popped up with the car. Right after taking delivery the drivers door lock stopped working I purchased a used car and within 3 months a slew of issues popped up with the car. Right after taking delivery the drivers door lock stopped working - no biggie its used. When purchased the dealer agreed to do an oil change and fix the fog lamps that were not working. I brought the vehicle in and waited over 2 hours for them to change the oil and they didn't even check the fog lamps, plus they used conventional oil on a car that requires full synthetic. I found out on my own that the wiring on the car is actually totally screwed up and the fog lamps will probably never work. Also one of the ignition coils had been jerry rigged together causing the vehicle to start missfiring which caused the check engine to come on. I repaired this myself by actually soldering the wiring rather than the spliced wire repair someone had previously done. After that, while driving, the radio antenna flew off. Shortly after this I was pulled over and ticketed because they sold me a car with windows that were illegally tinted. A few days later the car started leaking coolant and overheating and the heater stopped working. I then returned to the dealer to see if they would be willing to do anything about this issues I had been having with the car. I told them all the issues and requested a loaner vehicle since I live over an hour away. They had me stand around the dealership from 10am until 4pm telling me they were going to fix a leaking coolant hose. After wasting my entire day off, they come to tell me that they received the wrong part twice and would not be able to complete the repair that day. Finally at 4pm they gave me the loaner I had requested at 10am. They then took over 3 days to "complete" the repair and had me return to pick up the car. Somehow they made the car run far worse then when I took it in. The same day I picked it up it overheated and was still leaking coolant. Also the heater still wasn't working although they said it was. I asked them to listen to a rattling noise I thought was coming from the turbo, they said there was a broken ilet and that it would be fine. After this I was not going to return to their service department even if they were doing the work for free. The rattling noise began to get worse and worse so I took the car to the factory dealer and they found that the thermostat went out and was leaking. The factory took care of this under warranty. They also found a crack in the water pump that is going to cost me $700 to repair. The worst is that they found that Team Ford sent me home with my car with virtually no oil in the motor. This was the entire cause of the rattling noises I was experiencing. Basically the motor was not being lubricated and could have possibly caused some internal engine damage that will show itself later. I will never do business here again. I hope this saves someone else some hassle. More
