He knew what was important to me, and didn't push upsells. He was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. He and his staff also worked with me to find a package that fit my budget and needs. Justin made closing the deal a snap, told me what i needed to know, but didn't overwhelm with legalese and papers. I went with a Ford Fusion Titanium, and couldn't be happier. There were no "oops" or problems. This was my first Kistler experience and was my first flawless car buying experience with no surprises. More
Tom was very good at explaining what needed to be done to fix my car. I had recently taken my car to another shop for service on the air-conditioning. That shop performed some kind of diagnostic analysis, fix my car. I had recently taken my car to another shop for service on the air-conditioning. That shop performed some kind of diagnostic analysis, and suggested I also needed brake lines replaced, but said nothing about fixing other things I knew were due for repair. The other shop made me afraid the brakes might fail if I didn't get them fixed right away. Tome explained that while the lines would eventually need to be replaced, I would get a warning light before it happened and should immediately bring it in for service. I understand cars need servicing and don't exactly mind paying close to $1000 for the various systems that needed to be flushed and maintained, but this would have been really hard to manage if I had just spent $400 to get the brake lines fixed. The other shop did not mention anything about repairs which will prevent serious engine problems if left uncorrected. Thanks Tom for being a knowledgeable friend. More
Tom is an excellent, patient and courteous service writer. He is always happy to see me, and I to see him, in spite of my picking on him. That hand shake is always firm the way a man should always shake another persons hand.Recently i was hit with a $1,30.00 repair bill. Over a modjule that was not covered because of being out of warrenty. He could see i was very upset. He deducted the$30.00 shop charge. And gave me a free oil change and tire rotation on my next visit. Mr Ostas truley cares about his customers at Kistler Ford. Tom has been my go to guy at Kistler since I purchased my E-150 Van used in 2006. He always does a thorough review of my maintenance and scheduled maintenance, recommend immidiate requirements and suggests E-150 Van used in 2006. He keeps a record and when I drop my van off he will tell me what I should also include. He does his utmost to keep me out of trouble. What is important most to me is good records since I don't. I don't want to break down on the road or have sudden issues. Yes there have been times when I have had to tow my van into the shop, but again it is a 2002 I intend to keep going as long as possible.
