I came in with a problem replacing the low beam headlight on the passenger side. Following unsuccesssflul attempts to install a new bulb they had to take out the entire headlight assembly to discover the pr on the passenger side. Following unsuccesssflul attempts to install a new bulb they had to take out the entire headlight assembly to discover the problem. They found that the bracket holding the bulb had actually melted in one spot, making it impossible to install a new bulb. Since the mileage was beyond the warranty limits, the service manager offered to foot the cost of the parts if I was willing to pay the labor. To me that was more than fair. If I decide to buy another Toyota, this kind of treatment is likely to bring me back to Younger Toyota. More
I had a 8:00 AM appointment for an oil change. I was there two hours. Totally uncalled for to spend that much time for an oil change. I know I have free lifetime oil changes but I will pay for the oil t there two hours. Totally uncalled for to spend that much time for an oil change. Never will I spend two hours for an oil change again. More
Overall, we have never had any issues with Younger. We have had our car there 5 times now since we have bought it and it's not been washed once. The car wash is either broken or they say it's too cold for it 1st thing in the mornings. They also don't tell you when buying that it's only good for when it's there for service. When we 1st purchased the car we had to go back to resign some papers for them and ask about washing it only to hear, "oh well that only applies when it's here for service". I know it seems silly over car washes but for someone like myself that likes a clean car and using the car wash about once or twice a month, it was an attractive offer esp since it's around $8-12 each time. Also, this last service at 25,000 miles they tried telling me that all 4 tires were low on air & out of balance and also out of aligment. I don't know much about car maintaince but know enough that the tires are not out of balance and neither is it out of alignment. The car still drives as it did the day I drove it off the lot. Also, the guy told me at 30,000 miles it would be routine maintance. Why would I want to pay 200.00 to 300.00 for something that will be free in another 5,000 miles? I guess they can always sucker someone with that pitch but it won't be me. Up front, we were told as a lease ANY & ALL maintance would be covered. Now, those things plus changing some air filters and a cabin filter are not part of the covered maintance. Word to the wise...don't get caught up in the sales pitch and gimmics because there is always a catch as we are finding out. Again, we have had an overall good experience and have no issues with the service folks as they are only doing their job and what they are being told to do as far as upselling a service that isn't necessary. I live out of state, but Tim answered all of my questions, called me and texted me multiple times to keep me up to date (but he wasn't overwhelming the way some salesmen are), and had everything ready when I finally arrived at the dealership. He let my parents look at the car before I got there, and as soon as he knew I was serious about the car, he put a "sold" sign on it so no one else would buy it. He even offered to come Thanksgiving Day to give me my car. That being said, he never pushed us towards anything; he wasn't forcing a sale on us, he just wanted to find the car that was right for me. There had recently been a recall issued on several parts of the car, and he was quick to address all of the potential problems. Because I was buying a Prius, he took extra time to walk me through all of the unique features of the car before I drove it away to make sure that I was comfortable with it. I had questions about the car a few days later and he responded right away. This is the third car my family has bought from Tim, and as long as we live in the area, he is who we will go to for our cars. Thank you, Tim! I love my car! More
