I came in with a problem replacing the low beam headlight on the passenger side. Following unsuccesssflul attempts to install a new bulb they had to take out the entire headlight assembly to discover the pr on the passenger side. They found that the bracket holding the bulb had actually melted in one spot, making it impossible to install a new bulb. Since the mileage was beyond the warranty limits, the service manager offered to foot the cost of the parts if I was willing to pay the labor. To me that was more than fair. If I decide to buy another Toyota, this kind of treatment is likely to bring me back to Younger Toyota. More
I had a 8:00 AM appointment for an oil change. I was there two hours. Totally uncalled for to spend that much time for an oil change. I know I have free lifetime oil changes but I will pay for the oil t there two hours. Totally uncalled for to spend that much time for an oil change. Never will I spend two hours for an oil change again. More
Overall, we have never had any issues with Younger. We have had our car there 5 times now since we have bought it and it's not been washed once. The car wash is either broken or they say it's too cold for it 1st thing in the mornings. They also don't tell you when buying that it's only good for when it's there for service. When we 1st purchased the car we had to go back to resign some papers for them and ask about washing it only to hear, "oh well that only applies when it's here for service". I know it seems silly over car washes but for someone like myself that likes a clean car and using the car wash about once or twice a month, it was an attractive offer esp since it's around $8-12 each time. Also, this last service at 25,000 miles they tried telling me that all 4 tires were low on air & out of balance and also out of aligment. I don't know much about car maintaince but know enough that the tires are not out of balance and neither is it out of alignment. The car still drives as it did the day I drove it off the lot. Also, the guy told me at 30,000 miles it would be routine maintance. Why would I want to pay 200.00 to 300.00 for something that will be free in another 5,000 miles? I guess they can always sucker someone with that pitch but it won't be me. Up front, we were told as a lease ANY & ALL maintance would be covered. Now, those things plus changing some air filters and a cabin filter are not part of the covered maintance. Word to the wise...don't get caught up in the sales pitch and gimmics because there is always a catch as we are finding out. Again, we have had an overall good experience and have no issues with the service folks as they are only doing their job and what they are being told to do as far as upselling a service that isn't necessary. Younger really knows how to treat their customers! Additionally, the service members come and tell you what is happening with your car while you wait so that you're not just sitting and wondering how long it will take yet or how much things will cost. They always ask first before performing any service that will cost additional money. They are friendly, and I never feel like they're trying to "get one over" on me. More
I was not made aware, when I made the appointment, that the employee I requested would not be available at the time of my appointment, and therefore, I waited an hour before service was begun. This is the second car I have purchased and had serviced at Younger, and will continue to deal with this company, even though there is a Toyota dealership closer to my home. More
Rhonda provided excellent customer service. She arranged to have my spoiler painted before I brought in my car so I had a shorter wait time, and she worked around my work schedule. I have dealt with the service department at Younger before and they have always been very courteous. A day before a work trip to Richmond VA, I called in to see if there was any openings for an oil cha before and they have always been very courteous. I gave quality of work and customer service a bad mark for the following reasons. It took almost 2 hours to do oil change and tire rotation thought that was too long no body came out to explain anything h for the following reasons. Didnt explain any problems I have on sheet and no car wash like I normally get. Although I was not charge for tire rotation which I thank you for I thought since I waited I would be out earlier than 1030. thankyou More
I needed service for my 2005 Prius and I was given an appointment that was convenient for me. My car was serviced on time and was ready at an reasonable time. Another thing, when I get service no one comes out and tries to sell me service that is unnecessary!! More
