I took a half day vacation to test drive a “new” Traverse that the dealer website listed as having under 10 miles on it. After driving an hour I learned it had 4500 miles and the vehicle had nicks and loose trim around one of the wheels wells. On top of that, they wanted $4k more than the listed internet price. The salesman was very rude. Don’t waste your time at this dealer. I bought an actual new Traverse from a reputable dealer the same day. This dealer is making Chevy look bad. More

You can decide on your own but in my opinion the magnitude of deception and predatory Sales practice was above the norms of typical sales transactions. I contacted the Zeigler Chevrolet in Schaumburg via Autotrader. I was interested in certified Chevy Volts. Zeigler had some, however they were not listed as certified. I asked the dealer two questions: 1) Is it possible to certify the car? 2) If so, how much does it cost to certify? I received a response from Veronica – “Internet Concierge” on Saturday stating that certification is definitely an “option”. That left me with one last question – how much it costs to certify. I called the dealer and talked to Karla. She declined to provide me even a range and pushed aggressively for me to come to the dealer. They said they were very busy, so we agreed on specific time. Karla said the car will be brought up / disinfected and I should ask for her. I arrived at the dealer at the time we agreed upon but Karla was nowhere to be found. A random sales associate said he would take care of me. The car I discussed with Karla, was not ready and it had to be pulled as there were 2 other cars in front of it. The car was covered with ice and snow. To my surprise the sales associate affirmed that – ALL their volts are certified. Now - I was confused since Veronica stated it was an “option” and the listing did not mention a word about cars being certified. We went to price discussion. The listing on the dealer’s website was $13,650 – I expected extra $1500 for tax doc fee etc. so roughly $15,200 The Sales associate came and ask me to pay ~$21,000!!! They claimed there is extra $1500 “protection” – $2,800 extra for certification plus some other fees. The dealer asked me how much I was willing to pay. He came back after talking to his manager and said they can do $13,650 + $2,800 for certification plus tax. In essence - they high balled to see if it “sticks” and then they lowered the price given my apprehension. From my perspective the lack of respect for me as customer was just disappointing. At this point I was done with heir deceptional sales practice and left the dealer. I understand we all try to make money and it costs to run the business; however, these sales practices are simply offending and predatory. Beware of them - don’t get excited about the car and find a dealer that can treat you fairly and with dignity. These guys have a lot to learn if they want to stay in the business. Thank you for your time, More
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. The salesman was awful. I purchased a 2017 Acura MDX in November. It had 29,000 miles on it. It was suppose to have a 107 point inspection. I had to change the oil, oil filter, air filter and cabin filter within 2 weeks. The filters were absolutely full of dust. within 1 month I had to have the rotors resurfaced on all 4 wheels and new brake pads put on and have the brake lines drained. I had the car a week and took it to the car wash. When I was done there were 4 areas on the body that had been spray painted a slightly different white and it wash off exposing paint chips and paint peeling. It was obvious that the dealership “touched” these areas up just to cover them over so a potential buyer would not see them. So in total I have spent $770 for a new brake job, $100 for new filters and oil change and another $650 for fixing the paint chips and paint peeling. So, an extra $1,520. As I said I wouldn’t buy another car from this dealership if they were the only one left!! Terrible experience - go somewhere else. More
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Bought a 2018 Chevy equinox with 21,700 miles on it 3 weeks ago. Their “150 point” inspection that they charged me over $1000 for, missed quite a few things. I just got a flat on 21,700 miles on it 3 weeks ago. Their “150 point” inspection that they charged me over $1000 for, missed quite a few things. I just got a flat on the interstate and there WAS NO SPARE TIRE, just an empty hole where it should be. Had to be towed for a total of $358. Just got the call that BOTH rear tires are worn to 2/32 and need replacing. $535.00 for that ON A CAR WITH 22,000 miles. What did they pull?? Front tires are fine so they probably took crappy tires from another car and put them on mine. I’ve never gotten less than 65,000 miles out of my tires. And when I bought it they tried to tack on $10,000 to the price advertised. I shut that down right away. Already had it in last week for a check engine light on. Computer had to be reprogrammed. They think people are stupid and don’t respect you or your time. GO ELSEWHERE. More
We enthusiastically recommend Zeigler Chevrolet when you are considering your next vehicle purchase. Our interaction with the sales staff, including our sales associate, Naeir Salem, and sales manager, Dan are considering your next vehicle purchase. Our interaction with the sales staff, including our sales associate, Naeir Salem, and sales manager, Dan Allaire, was a pleasant experience. When it looked like negotiations were stalled, Naser Salem recognized that we were serious about purchasing a new vehicle. He privately approached us and solicited an offer from us. He took the offer to his sales manager, who accepted the offer. Both Naser and Dan were very patient and helpful during the entire process. More

If you have the opportunity to work with a different dealership, do so. My experience with Zeigler Chevrolet in Schaumburg has been terrible. After seeing an email that they "HAD" to sell out their us dealership, do so. My experience with Zeigler Chevrolet in Schaumburg has been terrible. After seeing an email that they "HAD" to sell out their used cars by month end, they refused to discuss any details over the phone or via email. Insisting that I had to be there in person and they could "guarantee" they would work with me to find the right deal on a vehicle they "absolutely had to sell" and with my trade in that they "desperately needed because of a shortage of quality cars due to COVID". After speaking with a used car manager over the phone and making an appointment they assured me the car would be ready to test drive when I arrived at the appointment time and I would be meeting with the the person I spoke with on the phone. After arriving, I was NOT arranged with the woman I spoke with and the car was most definitely NOT ready. The deal was no where close to the price point I stated I needed to be at on the phone call and we ended up not making a deal on a car they "HAD" to sell. Now almost one month later, the car is still on the lot. I have texted the sales associate and left messages to speak again now that I have a better offer for my trade and more money down. No responses. I have called the dealership twice and have been on hold for over 20 minutes and then disconnected from the line, both times. Overall this is the worst customer service I have ever seen. Not worth your time. I suggest going to a dealership group who values their prospective customers and is actually willing to sell a vehicle for a reasonable price rather than let it sit on the lot as they lose out on depreciation.
