My horrible experience is beyond the character limit to post, so: lies, incompetent employees, and horrible treatment. In summary, multiple little things after very deceptive marketing and listing on their post, so: lies, incompetent employees, and horrible treatment. In summary, multiple little things after very deceptive marketing and listing on their site ended up with me still upset about the whole experience and feeling it was a waste of my time and money. Absolutely no little things, like a gas card for driving 3 hours round trip were made at all that may have made the horrible experience somewhat better. I would never recommend anyone go here unless you expect their website “Zeigler price” to be well under what you will get and for incompetent service. I’m not interested in hearing excuses for why each of the things happened, and don’t expect any real solution to come of this, I just hope it gives someone else a heads up before going here. To top it off, yes even more that was messed up. Over two weeks later I get home to a FedEX final attempt (also first attempt) at delivery for papers from the dealership. As they elected to pay to ship and require a signature, and big surprise I wasn't home at 9AM on a weekday, while most people are at work, and I have to be to pay for the horrible mistake I made in purchasing from Zeigler. I had to drive 40 minutes to town and back to pick up the package from them. To my complete shock there was a check back for taxes and registration fees and a letter with another blatant lie stating since I agreed to register at my local DMV. The dealership was to take care of all this. They can't even do the basic duties now and sent me off already angry and now ruining my life even further. In addition, I notice on the retail purchase agreement another almost $400 in fees they didn't need to charge and are proving even more I really messed up in choosing them, I wish I would have walked out, nobody knows what they're doing on any level, or they would have told me that day they couldn't register my vehicle in WI. Again, no apologies or attempt to make the situation any better were made even when they got the calls from me. Worst dealership experience ever. More

Like everyone else here, I had a bait and switch experience. Their website had a very clear price listed. In the small print on the website it said special pricing was available to all.. it was a n experience. Their website had a very clear price listed. In the small print on the website it said special pricing was available to all.. it was a new car, and their price was $1.5k under MSRP which is slightly better than our local dealer. I called up to talk to a salesperson to get an out the door price and they said to come in and they can write up the actual fees. I went in the next day for a test drive. I told the salesmen I saw the ad for the specific vehicle I wanted. When he came back with pricing, it was $10k over MSRP with market adjustments. I told him I came in there specifically because their website said this was the price and no strings attached. He said no, that was wrong.. I stood my ground and said for a second time, no this is wrong, you advertised this pricing.. he again said that pricing is wrong.. i showed him the screenprint of the website on my phone and again he said there was nothing he could do.. at that point I was done, so I stood up and said thank you for your help I'm going elsewhere.. he looked at me with shock in his face like nobody else has not engaged with their games. I walked out of the dealership, and then they proceeded to call me that evening. I let it go to voicemail but they kept calling. So getting sick of seeing the phone ring i finally picked up.. it was the manager himself called me and said he would do whatever to make it right. I specifically told him there is nothing you can do because you broke the trust. I told him to take me off their followup list and not to contact me.. they did not listen and then called me a few more times the following week obviously tone death to my utter disgust with them. My original salesmen. Called me the following Saturday morning at 830 am saying he had improtant info.. i cut him off right away and told him I ended up buying a different car from another dealership that honored their advertised pricing and didn't try and play games.. Stay far away from this place!!! I feel really bad for all the people that get swindled by this dealership which is why I feel it's my civic duty to report them!! More
Worst dealership ever. Purchased a car there in 2015. Paid for a new transmission due to it being out of warranty. That transmission blew out in 7 weeks. Ziegler said th Purchased a car there in 2015. Paid for a new transmission due to it being out of warranty. That transmission blew out in 7 weeks. Ziegler said the new transmission was under warranty for another 100,000 miles. It took “2 months”to evaluate the problem and then had the gall to charge me a $179.00 inspection fee for a repair that was under warranty. They suck you in with good sales services and then hang you out to dry with their service department. I bought two cars there. NEVER AGAIN.! More
I'd give 0 stars if it were an option, so enjoy the one star you didn't deserve Zeigler. I was looking for a Chevy Bolt online and couldn't find one anywhere. Then, by some miracle, I find one on a lot, a star you didn't deserve Zeigler. I was looking for a Chevy Bolt online and couldn't find one anywhere. Then, by some miracle, I find one on a lot, and $1000 cheaper than MSRP! Too good to be true right? You'd be correct, but we're not quite there yet. I reached out, heard back from a sales rep, and set up an appointment to look at the vehicle that evening. I live about an hour and a half from the dealership, so had to go quite far out of my way to see this bolt. We get there, take the car for a test drive and I'm really liking the car. Everything is going well. Then, the first salesman goes into the back and grabs Ole' Slick (pretty sure his name was Jim). Slick is a cliche car salesman from years gone by. He starts fast talking us, telling us all the "upgrades" and "perks" he's added to this bad boy, looking at my dad the entire time he's speaking. Suddenly, the car that was $1000 below MSRP was $3000 dollars above and he wanted me to thank him for it. Supposedly, he had a buyer ready to buy it at that price the next morning, but I doubt that was true based on the look on his face when I said I wasn't going to pay that price. His explanation for why the vehicle was listed $1000 below MSRP was that "it's the law to include various student and veteran discounts in the price when listing a car". Never seen that anywhere else but okay Slick. Don't waste your time with this place, pure bait and switch. More
The car I wanted to buy is listed at $22,750 at cars. com and has been for over a week, https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/e73da894-e756-44e0-a7f4-3ca5635f5a9e/?aff=acqgeosem8&KNC=acqgeosem8&msclkid=a090f com and has been for over a week, https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/e73da894-e756-44e0-a7f4-3ca5635f5a9e/?aff=acqgeosem8&KNC=acqgeosem8&msclkid=a090f7e28fdb191b1c2f9467f7288409. It was listed as $22,784 by CarGurus and Ozzy Flores, Development consultant at Zeigler Chevrolet of Schaumburg, emailed me info about it, listing it as $22,784. Flores also sent me a trade-in estimate of between $11,600-$12,345. I drive a 2015 Chevy Volt with only about 38,000 miles and in very good shape. After various delays, miscommunications and no communications (I should have taken these as signs for what was to come), I drove from Madison, WI, to check, and probably buy, this car. That's 124 miles each way. I drove the car while the dealership checked mine. Then we sat to talk. The salesman, Chuck, informed me that the car's cost is about $27K + many thousands more in extended warantee, Lo-Jack, etc., none of which were things that I've asked for. I protested that it's listed at $22,500 and he denied it, then said this was a Black Friday thing, which I refuted, then just sent another guy to talk to me. He also informed me that they'd only give $8K for my car. I came expecting to have to pay about $11K but suddenly it was about $22K. The other guy came and insisted that all the stuff I haven't asked for is "deposit." I disagreed. Then Chuck came back with a new offer: Ta-Dum! I'll have to pay only $21K after the trade-in! I told him he didn't have a deal and left. 248 miles + gas cost + tolls + backache + a wasted day. This is outrageous. These guys lie to your face. They are scoundrels. Buyer beware, and certainly don't drive any length to find out what lies they have cooked for you. More
Worst experience I ever had buying a car. I went in looking for a used vehicle and the salesman David Escobar showed me a similar new Equinox for not much more. After they ran my credit and I went in looking for a used vehicle and the salesman David Escobar showed me a similar new Equinox for not much more. After they ran my credit and brought the papers for me to sign the total was more than $12,000 than the window sticker. After everything else they added there was an additional $8000 dealer fee just because they felt they could get it. I should have walked out then. They rush you through the buying process trying to add extra's along the way. The LoJack is already on all their vehicles so you have to pay for it in order to buy the car. They want to charge extra because it's a "Certified car" when they don't even check anything out and won't let you look at anything mechanical. The rear brake rotors were severally scored on a 22,000 mile vehicle. (I'd post pictures if I could) When I changed the brakes myself I found 2 loose & 2 missing wheel nuts. As far as the 5 star reviews, don't believe them. My salesman David Escobar asked me & my girlfriend to fill out reviews while we was still at the dealership. When I didn't give him 5 stars he asked why and insisted I give him 5 stars, that's not the way reviews are suppose to work. I'd stay far from this dealership. More
