Zoellner Ford of Beatrice responded

The work that was performed at our dealership was done by a Ford Certified technician with 10 years of experience. He is one of our best technicians and his expertise and training allow him to complete jobs in less than the Ford Service manual labor time standards. Nationally the repair industry is set up by time standards to protect the consumer. If you have a technician who doesn't know his work it could take him 4 hours instead of the 45 minutes in which we completed the job. Service time guides post the time allowed to charge for this repair, "regardless" of how long it takes. If the repair took 4 hours the consumer could be charged that amount without the guide. Our techs are educated in their field and perform their jobs better than most, and get more work done in a days time than most techs. As for the condition of the belt, once again the guide books recommend replacement of any belt that has suffered damage causing it to compromise the overall integrity of the product and perhaps shorten the expected performance lifespan. The belt was missing a chunk of material and was cracked. At RPM's of 3000 or more it is hard to know when it might break. Our job is to inform you of any condition about your vehicle that might affect the way it performs. It is the consumers responsibility to either risk a breakdown or have the item repaired. We finished your repair in less time than called for, and the free wash and vacuum was done in a timely manner as well. I am very sorry we did not live up to your expectations, I hope this brief explanation clears up the performance of our store. We hope you continue to allow us to help you care for your truck.
