What Others Say

Salesman and mechanics work as fast as possible do they can get you in and out and what you need. They also have a large selection of cars.

I saw truck that I was attracted to in the lot. I stop by and I was approached by Johnnie. Everything was good on the initial introduction. He gave me some info on the truck etc.. of course he was asking about purchasing and financing. I told him I would check with my SECU to see about rates and if that was the option I would go down. I told him it should not be a problem with SECU but wanted to see my options. He then tells me to get a letter of approval to hold the truck. The bank was closed for the evening and I would check in the morning. The next morning as I finished up my work, I got a call from my bank saying that an employee with Vann York called to inquire about an approval letter. WHAT THE HE**. That’s bank notated my accounts as privacy issue and possible fraud. Johnnie did not get an okay from me to reach out to my bank to inquire about my loans. I told him I was checking my options. I then reached back out to Johnnie after speaking with the bank and he inform me that he was only trying to secure the truck to hold it. JOHNNIE THAT IS PRIVACY VIOLATION. Not once did you ask me if I needed you to cal or anything. I wanted to back away from working with the dealership and I did for a few days. He reached out apologetically and I wanted the truck so bad that I then proceeded to do a credit app with the dealership. My wife also did a credit app late Friday evening as co borrower but By that time the dealership was closed. So Saturday morning Johnnie calls me and informed that they had everything they needed for to make the purchase and I just needed to bring my trade in. I ask Johnnie about the terms from the bank that were approved and he told me that he could not go over the terms over the phone. BOGUS AND BULL. They took all the credit and bank info over the phone and now Johnnie is telling me that he can’t give me the terms and needed me to be in person. The internet sales department told me that was not true. I told him I would try to make it by 2 but we had games to attend for my kid and I would let him know. I texted him around 2 and said running behind and we be there as soon as I could. He told me the truck Wilkins be cleaned up and ready to go when I got there. I reached out to Johnnie to let him know that it would be the next day but no response. The next day after I didn’t hear back, I called Johnnie and he inform that they sold the truck that afternoon. All that After they processed me and my wife’s credit app that morning and got approved as well as him telling me everything was ready to go and of course those hard inquiries affect credit scores. Johnnie did not even have the audacity to let me know someone else was looking at the truck or that the truck had sold. Even with my bank approvals and everything else ready to go. Truly a disappointing experience twice with Johnnie with the deal.

Tyrone and the sales staff do a great job as well as the service department thank you Vann York staff

We found a truck online they had listed. Looked at the CARFAX and realized it was newly listed in their inventory. My wife sent me the link so I called. Got in touch with Brooke when I called. She was very prompt on answering my questions and sending me over the trade appraisal for my current truck. Then I was in communication with Brittany Brown who then sent me over pictures and helped with the process. I was then called by Jeremiah about financing application and asking us which was best for us. Was then passed along to Larry and talked about GAP and purchasing an extended warranty. All this was so relaxed and enjoyable, did I mention that we also live 2 hours away with a sick child. They accommodated us to the fullest and just waiting on delivery of our new vehicle less than 72 hours later. Job well done.

I would not buy a wagon from vann york. I bought a 2008 gmc pickup and failed to crawl under it. If i had i would have found out that it was eat up with rust. Only had it a few years and all body shops tell me it has been this way for a long time meaning it had rust like this when i bought it. Tried to get welder to patch area but he said there was nothing under there to weld to. So if you buy a vehicle from vann york you better put on lift and check it out. This vehicle should never been sold.

Excellent sales department with Mark Edwards and the entire staff at Vann York. They were very professional and ensured everything was taken care in a timely manner. I bought the truck I wanted at a fair price. I will recommend to all my friends to use Vann York for their next vehicle purchase.
