My 70-year-old mother recently purchased a used 2020 Toyota 4runner from Mechanicsville, Toyota with 15000 miles on it. She had it for 2 months and brought it in. For an oil change and they proceeded to Toyota 4runner from Mechanicsville, Toyota with 15000 miles on it. She had it for 2 months and brought it in. For an oil change and they proceeded to recommend over $2500 worth of services. For a vehicle with hardly any miles on it. Being that she just bought it, and it's a certified used Toyota. You would assume that the dealership would service the vehicle and go through and replace anything that is needed before passing it on to one of their customers. I am very disappointed with this dealership and would not recommend them. to my worst enemy. Oh and not to mention this was after sitting in the waiting room for 4 hours for an oil change. And if you do a little research, you will find there are tons of negative reviews about Mechanicsville, Toyota More
I can’t recommend Daniel at Mechanicsville Toyota enough! From the very beginning, he went above and beyond to help us. Daniel coordinated everything seamlessly from a distance to ensure the car was available that day and provided invaluable advice about handling our situation. While other dealerships tried delay tactics and weren’t upfront with us, Daniel was transparent, responsive, and incredibly helpful. He made the entire process stress-free, explaining the paperwork thoroughly and giving a detailed demo of the car’s features. If you’re looking for a car and want a smooth, honest experience, Daniel and the team at Mechanicsville Toyota are the ones to call. Highly recommend! More

He listened to what I wanted and needed in a good car and provided opportunities for me to consider and test drive 4 different models, new and used.. He nailed it when he suggested a RAV4 hybrid, which is exactly the right car for me. Never pressuring me in any way, he was helpful and kind from beginning to end of the process. More
I worked with Joe Davis. Friendly enough guy, but there were several times where I asked a question and had to follow up multiple times to get an answer. I got short answers Friendly enough guy, but there were several times where I asked a question and had to follow up multiple times to get an answer. I got short answers or no response. I was told to download an app to be able to start the vehicle remotely, lock and unlock, check gas mileage, etc. That ended up being a short term free trial before I'd get charged for the service. I asked Joe for help/clarification, and 6 weeks later, I still can't get an answer. Hope he would know what information he is providing to people beforehand because he seems pretty unfamiliar. He did help me get exactly the vehicle I wanted, but it was quite a frustrating hassle with all the back and forth communication. I also worked with Zach who dealt with the financing. He tried everything possible to get me to buy a warranty, which I did not. He then began making rude statements about people who are "nuts" who don't get one, how outside influences made determinations within his office, etc, insulting my intelligence and ability to make my own financial decisions. Obviously must have lost a large commission on me, but treated a customer rather rudely. More
I originally had a deposit down at McGeorge Toyota, but I found the Tacoma I liked at Mechanicsville Toyota. Process was fast and I love the truck. However, communication is horrible. I've contacted my sales found the Tacoma I liked at Mechanicsville Toyota. Process was fast and I love the truck. However, communication is horrible. I've contacted my sales person twice, the finance guy (had question regarding title) and the service department. How many responses have I received? Zero, nada, none, zip. 1 trip to service to have some accessories installed (door sills and ceramic coasting). When I picked it up I asked the service manager about the ceramic coating and how I should maintain it. Just looked at me and said, you don't need to do anything and that was it. Hopefully it is true. My service will now be done at McGeorge Toyota. I've used them for my Toyota's in the past and never had an issue. More

Just be upfront about it. 2) a brand new car whether you park it outside or not will look great for many years without any coating. A 7 yr warranty is moot on a brand new car as you’d never need to use the warranty. Plus, if your car is leased/financed, you’d probably have full coverage insurance with likely a deductible much lower than $1495. So you’d probably go through your insurance anyway. The $1495 is basically a worthless extended warranty on the factory paint. And 3) since the coating will already be applied before delivery, you can never take it off and ask for a refund. More
